Thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay in Milan. The Uptown Palace was a terrific "pad" for doing that. Nicely located away from all of the tourists but close enough to enjoy. Our room was nicely sized, clean and sunny. We enjoyed breakfast one morning which was complete and tasty. We hope to be back one day!

The Uptown Palace in Milan was perfectly located, close to all the historic sites I wanted to visit and the shops I was excited to explore. It was just a short walk to the Duomo, which was the highlight of my time in the city. The nearby restaurants made it easy to grab a bite to eat and then head out to explore more of Milan on foot.
The only minor issue was that the air conditioning in our room didn’t work efficiently, but since the weather was on the cooler side, it wasn’t a major problem. Overall, this was a great hotel for the price and an excellent base for discovering Milan.

Uptown palace used to be super consistent and I’ve stayed there numerous times over the years. The location is great, but sadly now, that’s all that’s going for it. The room smelled when I check in, the carpets are old, mold in the corners of the bathroom shower and fixtures need a lot of TLC. Top it all off the soundproof rooms are NOT soundproof to the outside. I could hear every conversation, car horn and siren. I had to crank a noise machine to sleep. That being said the bed was pleasant and the a/c worked great! A big plus for Italy!

Checking in was excellent, even giving us a free upgrade, however the rest of this stay was disappointing. No complimentary room service, no replacement or topping up of room facilities and no working Wi-Fi.
This was at best at three star hotel and we would not stay here again.
