Bahia Principe Luxury Runaway Bay - Adults Only - All Inclusive

The food was great! The facility was a bit dated. Our room had a mold smell and the bed appeared moist. A few of the workers was rude. This is not the first that we visited your facility.

For the most part it was quiet, not too crowded. The only thing I wish was different was a better beach experience not hedged by rocks. WiFi was not as great, but then again the point was to get away! Great effort to keep establishment clean.

Very disappointing experience. Based on the pictures and reviews, you will get really excited about staying here. Actually staying there leaves much to be desired. Forget the fact that the pools close early and the beaches are not truly meant for swimming. The most horrifying experience was at Takada restaurant where we dined with our friends the Cockroaches we found underneath our table. So disgusted with the roaches and how long it took to get the food that we walked out and went to buffet. Never spent so much time at a buffet trying to eliminate disgusting inedible options.

The resort is regular; average at best!

This resort is in desperate need of a renovation and staff training. Our beds were inner spring mattresses that were clearly years old. The bedroom furniture is old and dated. The placement of outlets makes no sense OR if you plug something in to an outlet, it turns off the light. ALL of the drinks were watered down to the point of being nothing more than syrupy sweet beverages. The wine was stored improperly so it tasted horrible. The entertainment staff and Privilege Membership staff harassed us to the point of our trying to find ways to avoid them so we could simply do what we came to do: RELAX! This resort is NOT a luxury resort-it is the Red Roof Inn of resorts in the area which is so unfortunate as we stayed here 6 years ago and LOVED it. The food is mediocre and we often found the buffet foods to be dry and cold. The best thing the company could do is close and remodel a section at a time and fully retrain the staff on guest services, drink menus and consistency in drink making, food preparation. The pool and guest rooms have marble decks and floors and are an absolute hazard. We saw several people fall, one who sustained a serious head injury. I will not stay here again unless they completely renovate and train staff and revamp food and beverage menu. I do not recommend.

The food was excellent! Especially if you like to try different foods! The staff went above and beyond!

The resort was better than expected. I heard a lot of complaints prior, but the resort was good. The grounds were clean, room was beautiful. I didt likethat buffet was only option for breakfast and lunch.

I enjoyed the environment, the access to both sides of the Baha properties and the staff were very nice and hospitable. I didn't like the Asian cuisine at the restaurant starting with a T!

Fun and quiet place. Entertainment team tries to do what they can. I would suggest to keep pools open longer till maybe 930. They close early due to no life guards. Beach is basically dead and not worth the time so pool is where everyone is mostly at. Food options are great. Very relaxed place.

First room was close to pool and on the same level as the front desk. It was convenient but had a bug situation. And moldy shower and clogged sulpher smelling sink. Relocated to a room that was and upgrade but was basic in that it was the exact same style. Only it had a bottle of champagne. Oh and the elevators was on and off....the one time i tried it i acutally got stuck and had to pry the doors open. And jump down about a foot from thw elevator to the floor. Anxiety for the rest of the trip. The pool closes at 7pm and restaurant's are all buffett style unless you make a reservation the prior day. Dont arrive late and expect food or pool time on this adults only luxery resort. Always check ur spaces before unpacking. The manager that "upgraded" our room was nice which helped but i recommend setting expectations at 3stars and not 5.

This trip was supposed to be a celebration of our wedding anniversary. It has been the worse all inclusive experience, and we have been to many hotels in different countries. From airport travel all the way through airport transport from the hotel. The customer service was awful. We have VIP access but definitely did not feel like it. Were promised a champagne bottle that never got there. When asking for directions the staff was short with us. For restaurant reservations we were not accommodated. The food was so so. The room was not clean when we got there, cabinets falling apart, signs of mold. Structural damage in the pools, poor craftsmanship. Pool towel service is an absurd card exchange. Spa treatments were ok but spa can use an upgrade. Did not feel like a 5 star Hotel to us.

Overall, it was good; however, there were bugs in the room. The ceiling in the bathroom had water damage.

All the staff was great, rashelle smith was extra nice and a great waitress she made sure she checked to see if we needed something constantly where some of the waiter and waitresses would just ask once

The worst experience in a long time. Entertainment was a no Food was a no Staff was a no Beach at the hotel was a no 2 of the 4 days they were doing renovations on the same floor our room was located, Nothing but noise for the remainder of our vacation. to top it off we got into it with the night guard and the front desk staff member. Totally disappointed and will definitely reach out to cooperate

From time of check-in it was great and the majority of the staff were extremely helpful and professional. I really enjoy the stay at the Bahia Principe Luxury Resort.

Everything was like so immaculately clean, and I love that the majority of the employees were so welcoming always with a smile the buffet and all of the restaurants were amazing. We will most definitely see you guys next year. Thank you for everything. Keep doing what you’re doing making memorable moments

Great place to stay if you want to enjoy a great vacation

A lot of things are dated, not necessarily dirty or unclean, but just old. Our air didn’t blow well and our hot water only worked on the first and second nights. The front desk and room staff were excellent. The food was just okay. The staff at the Brazilian steak house pick and chose who they wanted to enforce wardrobe requirements on at dinner. There were guests that had on far fewer clothing items that were seated before and after he turned one of our group attendees around. For a beachfront property that was adults-only, and for the restaurant to be located outside, clothing shouldn’t have been an issue, u mess someone was naked or showing their private parts. It was average overall and I won’t return.
