I have a good experience staying at APA Hotel Osaka Temmabashi Ekimae. The access to the hotel is really good. The distance between the hotel and the station is near, within walking distance (the distance of the station between the platform and gate is also near). The gate of the station can be accessed by elevator. The hotel is close to Family Mart and Seven Eleven, as well as the mall. The service of the hotel is good, the receptionist is really nice, and they have good facilities as well (i.e., onsen, laundry coins, trouser press, vending machine, restaurant, etc.).

English speaker first time ever going to Japan I must say I wasn’t sure what to expect, travelling alone I was a little nervous about everything but once I got to the hotel my nerves were calmed. Hotel is in a great area and feels very safe, hotel staff very welcoming and check in was super easy regardless of what language you speak because they just needed my passport for my reservation. Everything I needed information wise was given to me in English and the TV in the room also gave information on check out times. Hotel room was very clean and has its own controls to the A/C which made it very nice given how hot it was outside. Also stayed at an APA location in Tokyo and the quality was the exact same. Will definitely stay again, it’s not the fanciest hotel on earth but it’s clean, safe and easy.

Great location and inexpensive for the amazing quality of a hotel. Compared to other hotels abroad I’d pay significantly more for less amenities. The size of the room are small but that’s expected in Japan so I can’t fault them for that.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay. While the rooms are compact, typical for APA hotels, the layout is impressively efficient and maximises every centimetre of space. One of the highlights was the hotel’s sauna, which provided a relaxing way to unwind after a day of sightseeing.
The location is excellent: Osaka Castle is within walking distance, and there is a combini and a metro station right next to the hotel, making it very convenient for getting around the city.
However, it’s worth noting that the hotel’s approach to amenities is not eco-friendly. Every day, new towels, yukatas, and a multitude of single-use toiletries are provided, each individually wrapped in plastic and placed inside multiple plastic bags. If you care about sustainability, this practice is hard to overlook.
Another downside is the early checkout time: 10:00 AM, which feels VERY rushed. There is an option for a late checkout (until 11:00 AM), but this is only available to members of their loyalty program, which appears to be limited to Japanese residents…
