APA Hotel Ueno Inaricho Ekikita

Very nice hotel and very convenient location.

Didnt enjoy the cleaner opening my door as i was getting dressed. The latch was on, but because of the layout she could see right inside. She said "ok? Ok?" And then let herself into the room. She pushed a few buttons on the tv and then left.

room was small as expected, but adequate for our needs. friendly and courteous front desk staff. entrance may be difficult to initially find. close to grocery store and 7-11.

Great hotel. Definitely inspired me to stay in other APAs when I return to Japan. Very clean and had a lot to offer.

One night stay. Fastcheck in and check out. Fairly central to Ueno station.

Within the resident area so it’s a bit more quiet from the busy streets. It’s a little small but everything is well set up

Good stay. Excellent location. Really small rooms, didn't do housekeeping every night or give us water bottles every night.

I had stayed here the year before and it was nice. This time around not really a fan of my room. Got room 401 and while next to the elevator and having an extra 2.5 feet extra space at the foot of the bed there seems to be a beam running through the right side of the room. While this wouldnt be much of a problem normally, the bathroom was located directly under the beam. This means that the ceiling in the shower was 3 inches lower. Half of the shower was under this beam. I am 6 feet tall and i couldnt fit in the shower. Additionally the room did not have windows towards Skytree so I only had view towards the parking lot in front and to make things worse, the window couldnt be opened up. Finally the bahtroom had a heavy mold/mildew smell and the showerhead was damaged so it would leak half of the water backwards. Previously I had gotten a room on the other wing of the building and while the room was a bit smaller, the view made up for it and you could also open the window. Additionally the shower didnt have a beam running through half of it making half of it unusable.

Overall a good place to stay for price and a nice location

The room is quiet and clean, and the staff is polite and helpful. It would be perfect if the hotel offered Laundry facilities within the hotel and if cleaning services could be arranged daily instead of every three days. Overall, I am happy with the services and will come again.

Needs a second elevator .. The cleaning staff monopolise it most of the day from 9AM to 4PM They regularly hit all the buttons for all the floors making it easier for them to hop and and off , regardless of how this affects the guests

Great options in walking distance. We found great small restaurants with friendly owners who gave us a tour of their restaurant.

Enough space for a solo traveler and location is not too far from a train station. Great room for a few days in Tokyo.

Lots of amenities compared to similar hotels. Has everything I needed.

Compared to the other APA we stayed in in the same trip, this hotel is quite far away from the station, the hotel is a little older too. There's only 1 elevator which is a problem in the morning when we're heading out. You always have to wait for 2 or more elevators before you can get in if you're on a lower floor. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and that's the main plus. Because it's not close to an station, the restaurant selection is also limited. All in all its just ok. I'd rather stay at APA Ekimae.

Great room with an amazing view of the sky tree. Excellent and helpful staff

Walk to Ueno station is 12 minutes and to Inaricho station is 5 minutes. The first room I was given was dusty but when I notified the front desk they inspected another room and gave me that one within 10 minutes. Staff is friendly and professional. The room is extremely tiny so to move around you will need to store your luggage under the bed. Otherwise, you will need to climb over the luggage to get to the bed.
