Had a nice stay with the 4 adults in our group. Beds and bathroom were clean and a heated toilet seat was great. The property is very old. There was peeling paint and smudges on the walls and floor but the price was still worth it. Close to Shin Okubo station and a 7/11. Not many good restaurants nearby I thought. Also prostitutes hang out down the street from the hotel.

Great location! The staff were so helpful and welcoming, it really made the first night in Tokyo a great start to our long trip. Walking up to the bedroom door made me very nervous, as a 6ft tall person having to duck down to enter, but relief came as the room opened up. Beds were comfy and it was very nice to have the shower and toilet in separate rooms. Not going to lie, the paint job needs an update and the room needs a bit of love, but for the price and location 10/10. Best part of this stay was the staff! They were so welcoming, willing to help with questions and reccomendations, and were willing to let us leave all our bags with them for pretty much the entire day after we checked out. As a long time traveler, I normally am nervous leaving bags, but with them I felt they were safe! Room: 6/10 Staff: 10/10 location: 10/10 Price for room: 10/10

The property itself is very minimal and simple but you can expect highest cleanliness with the facilities in the room. Me and my husband had such great time staying with them. This hotel is very old with wall papers pilled off. The carpet is a bit smelly, although the rest of the room seemed clean. It was a tourist trap that I paid almost 3x the price per night compared to other good hotels around it, which are at most 8500 yen (around $60 USD) per night, with newer room and much more amenities. The room I was in didn’t even have hooks to hang face towels. The tiny closet around 25 inches in width only has seen clothe hangers. The bathroom sink, separated for the bathroom, is right in front of the bed. The fridge is at least 30 years old, almost useless. The room smells strong musty odor of cigarettes, even it is a non-smoking room. The windows of aluminum frames are very dirty. It is not a typically safe area. You have to give your key to the receptionist before going out every time. It took me a long time to realize why, but the hotel is trying to prevent illicit sex activities around the area. This hotel is not for families! Period! It was a tourist trap, and I am surprised that Expedia has such low quality hotels listed with frankly ripped off price. I give it one star mainly the receptionists are friendly.
