Comfort hotel is always the best no frill hotel available to when visit Japan. It doesn’t have a lot of bell and whistle like other hotel, but it always have reasonable size room and hearty and healthy breakfast to keep you going when travelling around Japan.

Staff was very helpful. Breakfast buffet was good and had a decent variety. Note that early check-in and late check-out are perks for Comfort Club Members, so they enforce the 3pm check-in time for everyone else. If that's important, you should sign up before you arrive. Located on the East side of the station. Most all of the stores and restaurants are located on the West side. Easy enough to go through the station even though Google Maps wants you walk all the way around. Likewise, there are sometimes taxis on the East side, there are always several on the West side. There are two restaurants on the first floor of the hotel. One looked like a large Izakaya chain. It was just okay. Didn't try the other one - Kitaya Kitchen.

The rooms were tiny. My wife and I had to coordinate to open our suitcases. There was basically just a bed and a tiny amount of space around it. It certainly didn’t feel like 140 square feet. On the positive side, the breakfast buffet was very nice.
