Second stay here. Great hotel, great employees! JR station is ~5-7min walk away, meitetsu station is ~7-10min walk away depending on your walking speed. Good location. Will undoubtly book again in the future when I visit again!

I only need it for one night and arrived in the evening. The room was clean with a shower that had nice pressure.
It was quite noisy in the hallway with other guests being loud because it was a holiday weekend when I stayed.

We arrived hotel at 2 pm, for early check in we were charged 2000 yen, in comparison with other same level hotels they charge double the price.
We were extremely excited to use the onsen, but the experience was disappointing because the water had high level of chlorine,the fumes and chemicals were irritating to eyes and skin.

Its relatively close to Gifu station so that was good. However I chose this hotel specifically for the onsen. I was very disappointing that the water caused almost an allergic reaction to my skin. After just one visit to the onsen my skin became extremely dry and itchy. I thought it was the soap so i took my own soap the next day and sat in the onsen again. It made my skin even worse almost cracking. I didn't use their onsen again after that. Ive gone to many other onsen in Japan because i love the hot water and normally I'm fine. I'm not sure why I had such a bad response to this onsen water.

I really enjoyed my stay at Dormy Inn. I'm amazed it is only rated 3 stars. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is very close to good bars and restaurants, also the main railway and bus stations. The hotel itself is modern and the interior tastefully designed. Scrupulously clean. I didn't use the restaurant. There are vending machines and smoking rooms on 3 levels. Any type of drink can be purchased. Also an ice machine, microwave, trouser press. There is a free laundrette with a small charge for the tumble dryers. 2 massage chairs and free coffee in reception after 3pm. The star attraction of course, is the natural hot spring in the beautifully designed bathing area with a sauna included. All lounge wear supplied. I used it twice a day. Sometimes at 2am when I couldn't sleep from jet lag after travelling from London. Followed by a beer from the vending machine. Think of all the hotels that charge the same or more, that don't have a hot spring. The Dormy Inn wins hands down. I rarely miss being at a hotel, but I miss staying at this one. Only 3 stars! It will always be 5 stars from me. A big thank you to all the wonderful staff. From the great cleaners to those on reception.

It was very easy to get to from the station. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really delicious. This chain is my very favorite, and this location was particularly nice.

The Dormy Inn chain is a no frills operation. The rooms are a little larger than the beds and so there is really not a lot of space in your rooms. If you are out all day and only need a place to sleep, then this is great. They have a public area where you can stretch out, watch tv and work. They have a decent breakfast and best of all the hot spring. It is clean and very well kept. Not recommended for long stays, but for a night or two it is fine.
It is a short walk to the JR Gifu station and the nearby eating district.

Very good location. About 10 mins walk via cross overbridge. So you dont have to walk on the street. Close to malls and restaurants.
The room is very clean and decorated with minimal Japanese asthetic. Love it.

Clean, friendly, comfortable and very well-located. It was awesome that the onsen/bath area was open so late. I had it to myself most of the time I was there. Free ramen is a nice touch, and the massage chair relaxation room was a pleasant surprise. The room was comfortable and very clean and quiet. It's on the smaller side as is typical of Asian hotel rooms, but it was a perfect size for 1 or 2 travelers. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating, too. Bonus is that there's nearly-free laundry and DRYERS (a huge rarity in Japan) on site!
