Hotel room was amazing with all sorts of bells and whistles (hot tub, lighting adjustments). It was also big! The outside of the hotel looked a little rough and public transportation is limited.

The facility is nice, though a little outdated. Think of it as a high-end hotel from 10 years ago and you'll get the picture. The rooms are MASSIVE and the big hot tub is a life-saver after the long walks to the hotel (About 30 minutes from Gotemba station). Closest convenience store is about a 15 minute walk so make sure you stock up before you go to the hotel!! I would book here again for my next Hakone or Mt. Fuji trip

Awesome hotel with great big rooms. Only downside is that there is literally nothing nearby. There is 1-2 restaurants within a 10 minute walk, buses only come and go till 6pm. The location is the only thing setting this hotel back from 5 stars, but we found that is was a great stay for our price point.

I feel that this is a has been hotel, very nice large rooms which is unusual for Japan. It was clean and reasonably comfortable, but what let this hotel down was that it advertised an Italian restaurant, even to the point of a illuminated sign outside saying "LEONE OPEN"! However the restaurant had long since closed and was now used for the buffet breakfast only. Not only was there no restaurant, there was no bar or ice machine either! The only saving grace was the fact that there was room service food available.

Stayed in a smoking room by accident which was not ideal but I'm sure same room non-smoking would have been lovely. Our room had mood lighting settings, karaoke, Jacuzzi tub, and other amenities like that.
