Nice and quiet hotel with great subway access. Hidden gems for food in the area and the included washing machine was definitely a plus. The loft bed was a bit thin but I was still able to sleep. The owner communicated quickly and effectively and was very kind. For a budget option, this place is excellent!

It's a micro apartment, not a hotel so don't expect hotel like service and amenities. I knew that going in, so no problem. We were in the ground floor apartment, fortunately as my wife would have been unable to deal with the narrow stairs. The location is convenient to 3 train stations so getting anywhere is easy. A 7-11 across the street and a My Basket market 5 minutes away. Also several places to eat, but you're better off going up 1 station to Nakano for a better restaurant selection. Room was quiet. Our room had a loft bed that was useless to us, as I'm 196cm tall and 68 yrs old, so not going to crawl into that tiny space. Bathroom is typical, except there is a washing machine. Room also has a kitchen with a stove, fridge and microwave. If you want a "hotel experience" look elsewhere. If you don't mind a self serve apartment, it would work. We stayed 2 days, which was enough.

Pros: Staff was very timely in providing the housing manual and check in info. Made process smooth. Also helpful rescheduling redelivery times of our luggage when we missed our delivery window. Place was clean on arrival with spacious bath that had lots of shelving space. Lots of amenities included (e.g. dishes, dish soap, washing machine). There's no dryer but there are a hangers and pull out racks to dry clothes, but will take time to dry without sunlight. 7/11 conveniently nearby. Cons: Under accessibility it's stated that there is no elevator but extra info regarding the stairs would be helpful (e.g. they are narrow and steep, bringing luggages beyond a certain size is not recommended). Trying to carry up any hard case luggage up the stairs other than a backpack or soft duffel is very difficult and also dangerous. It's also a little hazardous to navigate the stairs when it gets dark due to the lights becoming motion activated. Extra bed provided wasn't comfortable, little padding. An updated version of the manual should be provided before even booking since we kept receiving follow ups regarding electricity shutoff beyond a threshold, trash schedule, hot water supply refilling, etc. Room layouts are not all the same so be flexible about room expectations. Might be ok for a one night stay but for longer would opt for somewhere else. Especially if you have lots of luggage.

The positives: if you want to experience a tiny apartment this is it. It’s in an area that is close to two subway stations and is a short ride away to Shinjuku and Harajuku. The negatives: it was not very clean, we moved a couch to get something that fell between the cushions and found a bunch of trash. The towels were threadbare and we were expected to wash them if we wanted fresh ones. They had a washer but no dryer. Something bit us (a flea or mosquito). It smelled damp. The bedding could have been cleaner.

Very good value for money. Small, but well organized, with easy access to JR lines and Tōkyō Metro. Suitable for small families or couples. It does require the guest to be quiet and abide by house rules. The local area is residential and a little way out of town, so if you’re coming in from Narita you can expect a few transfers to get there. 4.5 stars.

Pros - Decently close to trains and neighborhoods like Koenji and Nakano - Clean - Washer in apartment - Lots of light during the day Cons - Uncomfortable bed! It’s really a pull out sofa, and neither my girlfriend nor I slept well the two nights of our stay - The studio sleeps three, but there was only 1 real sleeping pillow and no extra sheets or blankets - Curtains do a poor job of blocking out the morning light - At night, the concrete design and lack of anything besides overhead lighting make the space kind of sad and cold - Late checkin and early checkout compared to most hotels
