Really nice hotel! Close to the subway with lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Very nice staff. Breakfast every morning for an additional charge was very nice. Room was comfortable and quiet.

Perfect location. I also really appreciated the allergy signage for breakfast. I have a gluten allergy and found it very hard to eat in Japan but breakfast here was an exception! The public bath was so great after long days on our feet.

The room was overall dirty. The bedsheets had a blood stain and I found a lipstick under the bed. The staff was helpful and apologetic about it. I could have had bad luck and maybe this is unusual. The hotel is 20 minutes from pontotcho and other popular areas. There are subway stations 5-10 minutes away. I did not feel I got the value I paid for.

Enjoyed our stay here! Excellent in many areas; the room was considered spacious & super clean. Beds were comfy for a good night sleep/recharge. Refreshments were always replenished.
Given the price, it is super worthwhile and we will definitely be back again!

The Mitsui Garden was a wonderful place to stay. We were walking and touring around Kyoto all day and it was lovely to come home and relax in our room, use the onsen and sneak up to the nearby supermarket for snacks. Great location, lovely staff and a very nice environment.
