Good location in the heart of the city, nice hotel with good service and very helpful reception staff, and marvelous breakfast also. Food was amazing !! Big room space, comfortable bed and beautiful garden seen from the window. Next time come to Kyoto, definitely I will book this hotel again.

I loved our stay here. We had a garden twin and the garden bathroom was to die for. Close to the bathhouse and laundry was a plus on the garden floor. Service was great and even provided luggage delivery to our next hotel. Breakfast was worth it and the hotel was also in a great area. Oh and the bathroom had American outlets so my blowdrier worker (only girls can understand how important that it)! Thank you we’ll definitely stay again.

This hotel is beautiful; we stayed in the bath view room and had a lovely experience with one of our biggest rooms in our Japan trip.
My only negative staying here was the fact our booking got lost when we first checked in and we almost didn’t have a room to stay in.. Expedia and the Solaria team both figured it out and helped us get checked in.
Onsen is nice too! Good addition to a hotel for the full experience.

The hotel was in a quiet corner which was peaceful, but within a block you can get to the happening part of town filled with shopping and restaurants!
The staff was wonderful and polite, not reason to think, prefer place to stay.

The location is perfect, close to the train station and a market of sorts filled with great places to eat and cute little shops. Easy to access other parts of Kyoto from the hotel. Our room, however, was cramped and dark and faced a wall. The staff removed our wet clothes from the dryer before it had finished as someone else wanted to use it. Little to no interaction with staff as you check in and out using a machine.

Best affordable hotel in Kyoto. Great location. Close to major malls and shopping districts. Great food options and shops around. Walking distance to everything. Staff were super nice and rooms are clean and modern. Would definitely book here again.

One of the best hotels ive stayed in! Clean, comfortable, beautiful, thoughtful, detailed… i loved the room we stayed in. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location is great and close to all of the shopping, restaurants, and market. I really loved it here! I didnt want to leave. I would absolutely stay here again.

The hotel is located in a central area that is ideal for tourists looking to visit the classic attractions Arashiyama bamboo forest, Fushimi Inari, as well as the Gion district. The bathroom was modern with a separate shower area and bathtub in the same area and the room was spacious enough. The setup of the room had a toilet and sink on the opposite end of the room from the shower/tub with its own separate sink. However the room only comes with one soap dispenser. When we asked for another soap dispenser for the sink with the toilet we were told that we could only have one soap dispenser for the room and that we were expected to carry the soap back and forth from one sink to another. Subsequently we spent our entire stay carrying the one bottle of hand soap back and forth across the room to try to wash our hands at either of the two sinks. If it weren't for this inconvenience it would have been a great stay.

When booking, upgraded room to deluxe twin. Was not informed room was in basement. Room smelled from smoke and other odors. Downgraded to another room to fourth floor. Difference in price was not refunded.
Not a bad hotel, but definitely overrated at 9.4. A rating of 8.8 would be more appropriate.

Very nice hotel in top location near restaurants. Quiet and nice neighbourhood. Our room and bed was large but only one wardrobe. Otherwise lots of space! Breakfast ok! Lots of different food but not so much for us europeans.

Our room was an oasis, loved our rooftop garden view! The location is super convenient, with easy access to subway and local train lines. Every staff person we interacted with was friendly and helpful. We could walk to excellent restaurants and shopping areas. What a fabulous visit!
