Who does these reviews? The hotel was clean and modest but lacked any security and the stated "benefits" were not there. So no safe, no coffee jug, no mini bar, no desk, no balcony. It was not that it was a bad hotel just double the price it should have been and the misleading advertising which meant I had to spend a substantial part of short stay in Vientiane sorting out alternative accommodation.

No lift and the room had an ant problem. Great location, minimal breakfast.

New Lao Silk Hotel was ok abit over price you can get a 3 stars hotel for that price room size pretty small bath room got leaking water everything is a walking distance good location

Good place to stay in Vientiane, close to all the nice places, 1 min. walk from the coworking place if you need to solve any last minute thing. Staff is very helpful and friendly, fair breakfast and fair price.

The hotel front desk is welcoming, whether it's your first time checking in or coming back from a time around town. I sat in the lobby while my room was being cleaned and was given complimentary water as I waited. The room has AC that functions well. This was my second stay In The New Lao Silk Hotel, the wifi was better. However, both times the water warmed up enough to take the chill away. I left the water running to allow time and still had to take a slightly chilly shower. The quick shower was nothing to be majorly concerned about because the location, cleanliness and customer service made the difference.

Room was quite small, but clean and adequate. Close to good restaurants and night market, in a good neighbourhood. Staff could be more endearing but when we needed help, like for them to fill our bottles, they were very kind to pass it to the kitchen staff to fill it up for us.

Please don't stay here if Orbtiz offers you this package deal. It's a -1 rating at best. I arrived at the hotel. Exhausted from my long flight. The room was in the rear of the hotel between 2 buildings, horrible views, lowest quality bedding, old curtains and decor. Even the front desk check in staff said it wasn't a nice room. The pics on the website have been altered. While I paid for the room, I chose another hotel instead. Try the Central Boutique Hotel or the D Park Design.

Exceptionally clean, comfortable, good WiFi, aircon, good shower, friendly staff, great location.

We arrived a day late due to Laos air cancelling our flight. The hotel was quick to respond to our email & have a pick up for the next day, and also helped us get a tour on our way back to the airport the following day.

Not exactly luxurious but not bad for the price. Friendly and helpful staff.

I was here for a fair while and had a room that looked out onto the road, I found the breakfast to be of high quality, with a few different choices available, the bed was comfortable, the cleaning standards for the room were high, the staff were friendly and helpful and there was sufficient storage space within the room for my stuff. An issue was that the room door was left ajar whilst I was staying there after the cleaners had cleaned my room. Thankfully it seems that nothing was taken as a result by other individuals staying at the hotel, but it did give me quite a surprise, I told the man at the front desk and he apologised. The window in my room wasn't completely sealed, so some mosquitoes did manage to enter the room at night, which was quite annoying. Overall I was happy with the stay regardless.

Room a bit small but comfortable. Did not have a safe deposit box. Breakfast choice limited but decent.

Very mediocre hotel. Room very simple, felt more like in a cheap guest house rather than a hotel.

Basic hotel right in the middle town. Minutes walk from the riverfront nightmarket and other great restaurants and cafes. Room was small but tidy, comfortable and with a clean room and exceptional hit shower. More than enough. Breakfast was basic eggs and toast. nice little sitout area with cafe and bar to put your feet up inbetween sightseeing. PS. No lifts if your not fond of walking and get stuck with a 4th floor room

Lao Silk hotel was nice. Room was small but clean and comfortable. It was a bit hard to communicate with staff who don't really speak English but overall we enjoyed our stay there.

Ok hotel for the price. Staff was not very helpful regarding sightseeing and such. I had to go to a nearby hotel to book a tour.

Lao silk hotel was a solid budget hotel. The rolm had A/C, hot water, wifi, small but cold refrigerator, and a great location within walking distance of many restaurants, night market, massage, and riverfront. You cant beat the value for price, no complaints here!
