Comfortable relaxed environment. Breakfast can get a little busy early doors but if you have time to sleep in then its more than comfortable. Locally good shopping at the shopping center, great foodhall, various shopping opportunities. Locally some good bars within walking distance or a simple Bolt taxi into Riga itself can be promising.

I have stayed frequently at the Elefant which is near the anir and the city. Its is a quality hotel with a good value. Hotel manager Zhanna and Restaurant manager Christina are professional, kind and conscientious. Breakfast is a great value. Sam Oliver Darien Georgia USA

Excellent option not too far from the airport and on the right side of town to avoid traffic in the morning. The area however doesn’t have too much to offer and it's a bit of a way from the centre. I experienced the bed as too hard but it might just have been me. The restaurant was excellent as was the bar, useful given few other options in the immediate vicinity. There’s a spa with massage but you need to book ahead so I didn’t experience it. Big room, comfortable and quiet.

Staff and service was awful. I asked to give us a room that was shown on a picture when I reserved. They gave us small tiny room. We were gay couple and the look that reception women gave us when we asked for double bed, was disrespectful. We wanted to have a coffee in restaurant at 1p.m., we asked a server nicely and she said kitchen is closed, but she brought 2 cup of coffee for a different guests. You have to ask everyday for a parking code which is annoying. Overall 1/5

The place needs some proper TLC, TV is so out dated and many channels impossible to watch due to bad picture quality. Although breakfast runs until 11am, after 10am they were out of quite a few things that were not topped up. It used to be one of my favourite hotels, and it’s sad to see its quality dipping.

Trying to find this hotel at night was impossible there is no clear signage so ended up driving past three times. The reception staff were rude and didn’t feel welcomed at all. The breakfast was ok and to be fair the staff members at breakfast and check out were pleasant. Also hate when you don’t have a iron in the room!

I liked the spacy rooms and the architecture of the hotel. I did not like that the breakfast did not offer gluten-free, dairy-free and simple things like plain oats.
