I want to give Argo Trakai a top rating, but I can't. The location was ideal for me, the design is lovely with the Georgian style. The room, including the bed, was very comfortable, although it was a bit chilly. The fellow who checked me in and served me for breakfast is a very nice man. The problems: 1. When I arrived, I was told that I wouldn't be able to have a meal. It was a half day, because of Christmas. The restaurant would be closed. 2. I chose the hotel because of the spa that sounded so wonderful. I wrote, ahead of time, asking if it would be available but didn't hear back. Upon arrival I was told it would be an extra 90 Euros! Ordinarily double that! Nothing on the website indicated an extra cost. 3. Lovely bathtub in the room, but the water was tepid. 4. No mini-bar. 5. No kettle or hospitality drinks such as teabags, bottle of water, etc. 6. I chose a breakfast menu item with a croissant and was told there were no croissants. I almost laughed, because I expected something to not be right about it. The item came with regular bread and was not even warm, although it did taste good. I want so badly to give Argo Trakai a 10/10 rating, but it's just not possible. 6.5 would be more like it.

Stayed one night on route to a local evening reception but also wanted to visit Trakai again. Lovely Georgian styled place with excellent cuisine and really nice (mostly) Georgian staff . Spent the evening outside in a chilled atmosphere and had great food/wine . Used the impressive basement Aqua Spa in the morning - an added bonus, before breakfast. Overall the room and location is excellent and staff very nice and friendly. Shame space is limited so parking is an issue but otherwise lovely place and hope to visit again

My room was truly awful. It was small, dingy and worst of all very close to a busy road. Cars whizzed by all night. When I complained at check in, they wanted me to pay 55 more euros for a different room that was only marginally better and was still loud. No way this is a 4 star hotel.

We were not given the room we had booked and prepaid for. Breakfast hours were extremely limited (9:00 - 11:00), so we did not have the breakfast we had already paid for one morning. The room was too hot, with no air-condition. Too noisy, too, the window was literally on the tables of the restaurant.

Great place on the lake side, awesome views, short walk to castle. Downside was that tube was partially working and needed handyman, no AC, just a bladles fan, so had to sleep in 27C environment. Room was at the ground floor facing lake, which was awesome, and facing restaurant customers, which were having food literally 3meters from the window, which kinda removed the privacy feeling. Breakfast, while some of it was tasty, all you get is plain coffe and water, rest is for additional price, which I haven't seen before in my previous stays anywhere in the world, and saying it because i love morning juice :) Overall experience for the price paid is bellow average.

This is a small hotel with a very good staff The beautiful view from the restaurant overlooks the patios and the lake beyond. the staff is not completely fluent in English but we could communicate enough. The breakfasts were delicious and included juice coffee and a different selection for the main course each morning The evening meal special was delicious BBQ chicke and pork ribs for a very good value. Overall a great place to stay in Trakai.

A very beautiful hotel and restaurants, minutes from Trakai Island castle, a quiet suburb even idylic in winter with the frozen lake. The suite was ampful in size with beautiful furniture, and a great jacuzzi could easy fit more than 2 people in, Although no manual, was idiot proof, but as I've used many, being over picky I'd say the in room extraction above the jacuzzi didn't seem to be able to turn off so hummed all night, being an insomniac this wasn't good for me and the quilt wasn't man enough warm enough for winter although I had the air con on full heat, but had to turn it off to try sleep. Maybe recommend bring some PJ's but defeats the reason for booking a romantic suite.

I live in Vilnius and went to Trakai for a triathlon. This place is only a ten minute walk from the train station and about a twenty minute walk to the Castle which is where the start happened to be. The staff there was amazing I checked out before 12, but they held on to my bag until after the race. They also let me use the shower in the sauna so I was very happy with everything. The room was terrific also.
