Check in was fast. It is small hotel but clean and quiet and nearby a shopping mall. The staff was efficient in doing their task but Needs a bit of warm hospitality like a greeting and the like. We will still come back due to proximity to the mall.

Staff texted me the morning of check in. They were friendly and when we couldn’t figure out how to use the shower they came immediately. Good value, room was big and even provided water and toiletries. Only thing is they charged me tourist tax separately even though on Expedia it says we don’t need to pay it as it is included

Location is good only if you are driving, hotel looks new and clean but the toilet looks very old. The toilet bowl cover is not fit and moving, rainfall shower head is not working properly. Overall satisfied . 😌

I stayed at MIICO hotel with my husband and daughter, we enjoyed our stay because it's very near to the AEON mall and also the surrounding has a few restaurants.

If you're on a short stay in JB, this is definitely the best budget option. There are also a convenience store and mamak stall within 5-minute walk distance. However, it's quite far from the city center, and public tranpo isn't available, so expect high Grab fares.

Had booked this hotel in May 2025 for a short one night stay due to my business appointment. Was surprise with the ambience of the hotel once we entered the lobby. Smells great even in lift. There is a deposit of RM50 upon check in and check in was done in less than 6 minutes. Even though the room is a bit compact (smaller that First World Hotel Genting), but for a night stay at RM90, I guess is a reasonable option. The cleaniness is ok. There are toiletries provided. Bathroom size is small but manageable. But I need to compliment on the bed, it is super comfy and i slept like a baby. Soundproofing maybe not be excellent, but do not expect 5 start standard with the rate we are paying. There are COway water dispenser at the lobby, and they do provide free coffee and snacks to munch as well in the lobby. Location wise, it is near to Tebrau Mall and Toppen Mall. Just a 2 minute drive. So it is pretty convenient. If u travel further to Mount Austin (Around 8 minutes drive), plenty of food option available. Overall I am satisfied with my stay. And will definately choose this hotel if I am a short stop over for work in JB.

When checking in at 15.00 the room was ready, no long waiting time. There is an additional tourism tax of 20 ringgit and a deposit of 50 ringgit when checking in. The room is quite spacious and clean, the bathroom is spacious. I took 1 room with 3 beds. The AC is cold, there is hot water, there is also a hairdryer. Near the reception desk you can get water to fill your drinking bottle and several types of snacks that can be taken for free. In the morning, coffee and orange syrup are provided. This hotel does not provide breakfast, but they sell cup noodles and snacks that are also paid. The location is not too far from the Aeon mall and Ikea Tebrau, about 15-20 minutes walk. At the end of the shophouse there is a prata and nasi kandar stall that opens at 7 am, closes at 3 am, and also sells Malaysian Ramly burgers at night. The area tends to be safe because I walked alone when I returned from Aeon to the hotel at 10 pm. If compared to other hotels around Tebrau, this hotel has the best reviews on Google. Might try it for those who want to go to Johor and stay in the Tebrau area :)

Location is good. Close to Tebrau Sports Complex. Generally room is clean and there is water dispenser. However I requested extra towel as my towel was wet. The staff said the hotel doesn't provide extra towel. While it might be the hotel policy, I would appreciate if they could be a little flexible in this case. Not sure how much it costs them to just provide one extra towel. At one point of time, door couldn't be opened and the staff need to change the battery. We didn't complain the inconvenience caused by this.

Abit dirty got some hair around and the blanket I got has stained but I got it replaced and the person who helped seemed surprised that I requested replacement for that tiny stain 😕. But really affordable as it was a last-minute booking, got soap/toothbrush 🪥 prepared so it was alright, toilet quite small but still okay aircon super cold.

The room is comfortable, there are snacks in the lobby and cold AC, highly recommended. There are only 2 drawbacks. 1. There is very little food near the hotel, although there is 1 good place to eat and there is a 24-hour mart. But there's less variation. 2. The room is not soundproof so sounds from outside can be heard in the front in the morning and afternoon but the night is quite quiet.
