I love how helpful and accommodating they are. I was a bit bummed that our room didn't have a window (made me feel a bit claustrophobic), but since we spent most of our times outside, it didn't matter much. It was an overall a very pleasant experience and I'd definitely recommend them.

Great location, clean rooms, lovely staff. Sharing bathrooms is always a pain, but not a lot of options in an old building like that. The street is quiet and close to everything, so zero complaints.

Bed was clean, and common area was nice, but the toilets on the first floor were disgusting... a lot of flies and cockroaches... breakfast was ok, nothing special, but anytime coffee/tea and cookies was nice. They close doors after 21:00, so if you check in after 21:00, you need to contact them, otherwise you will not be able to come in(maybe someone open door, but can’t be sure)?

+ decent location + comfy bed + nice ground floor shared area with water cooler, tea, coffee - shared toilets/showers in poor condition. - very thin walls (or closed connecting door between rooms) so you can hear every word your loud Neighbours say - power failure late evening leading to stuff turning on and off repeatedly one night

Overall it was a great stay here. We stayed for four nights after initially booking three, really easy to add another night and the owner let us stay in the same room which was really helpful. The room was small but clean. Shared bathrooms are fine, could do with a thorough clean but I imagine it’s hard in a place like this. Ac and a fan in the room, so good that it actually felt cold at night. Great location in terms of walking distance to places. Owner was really friendly and helpful: there was heavy rainfall and he was stood at the door making sure people were safe walking past in the floods. Also, he helped us book our boat tickets to Langkawi and got them to us saving us a trip to the ferry port. I would stay here again in Georgetown.

We really enjoyed our stay at Muntri House. It is close to the touristic area of Georgetown. It has a great location and very nice staff. Looking forward to visiting again.

I stayed in a mixed room with 4 bunk beds. The room is clean and have a/c , provided with clothes hanger and a small locker. But the toilet is too far and smelly, not really that well maintained toilet. I hope they will fix this issue and make it more comfortable. Specially the bath/shower/toilet area.
