We really enjoyed our one-night stay. The room was modern reasonably spacious and spotlessly clean with good storage and a fridge which was great on a hot day. The pool was a decent size and there were sufficient sunbeds to accommodate guests. Breakfast was decent with a good range of cold and hot food. The machine coffee and juice wasn't bad either. The staff were very pleasant and helpful but also professional. All in all I would recommend VIU57 which was in the tranquil and quaint town of Mellieha a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of Valletta and Sliema.

It is a small hike to the hotel (8 minutes walk) up some stairs from the bus stop but the view is worth it. There are a few bars and restaurant nearby, along with a direct bus to the airport. Easy access to the ferry terminal and the beach as well.

It's a good place for someone, who like quiet hotels (in pretty good standard). I would recomend it for everyone. Good view. OK breakfast.

I only really used the hotel as a base and so did not use all the facilities. The room was very good as was the daily housekeeping service.

This is a 3star hotel, so I have to limit my expectations a little.
Good.
The staff are unobtrusive but friendly and helpful
The room was basic but had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable
Breakfast is varied and good- especially the pastries.
The views are really good
Bad.
The restaurant food was poor
The room cleanliness could be better
The pool is very small and, when we were there in mid March, was in serious need of cleaning.
So-so.
The location isn’t especially appealing. Everything seemed to be uphill! It’s mostly a residential area. No shops nearby, BUT
bus stops for many routes are a 10 minute walk away, as are cafes etc., and the whole area just felt relaxed

Stayed here for 7 nights on a b&b basis. Large room with lovely sea view. Nice pool area. Our bed was very squeaky but comfortable! Tea and coffee provided. There was a fridge in the room but no safe, so had to leave our valuables in the reception safe. Very good breakfast, room overlooking the pool and the view. The air conditioning is centrally controlled, which meant the heating was on. Orange juice was dilute, not particularly nice. The hotel was very handy for restaurants and bars. Happy hour each night 5-7pm. Area felt very safe and quiet. Would stay again.

Hotel VIU57, this hotel is amazing in our view. From the staff to the location of it it's just first class. The views out of hotel are fantastic looking out over Ghadria Bay and the valley below stretching out to the beach in the distance. Most of the rooms are large and well equipped, the only minor fault for us is that there are only two tea bags and coffee sachets, But of course you can buy your own as there is a kettle in the room and a fridge.
All the staff are very friendly and try to accommodate your wishes. Breakfast is first class, everything that you would need and the warm items are varied each day.
Overall this is an excellent hotel in a fantastic location, and we fully recommend it.

Fabulous stay! The location is great, in a quiet area, just a quick walk to the bus stop to get up to the ferry to Gozo and Comino.
Also very close to the big church in Mellieha and some spectacular sunset views.
The hotel was very clean, and all of the staff were fantastic, especially the staff in charge of the dining room at breakfast and dinner.
Breakfast was very good - a good selection of breads, meats, and cheeses every day (along with a decadent egg salad) and a rotating selection of hot foods that were very good. Great pastries and fresh fruit, and when I asked there was oat milk available for my coffee, which I appreciated.
The view from the room was spectacular - I was there in February so it was too cold to sit out on the balcony with my coffee, but it would have been wonderful in warmer weather.
Good water pressure in the shower and plenty of hot water. Toiletries were just shampoo and body wash. Bed was very firm. Because the hallway is tiled, not carpeted, every noise echoes, so it might be worth bringing earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

A very pleasant surprise for an economical 1 night stopover. Would happily have spent more time here. Very clean, comfortable room, everything we needed, but no kettle provided. Lovely view, excellent breakfast, friendly, efficient staff.
