The room was great! The hotel staff were amazing. The room stayed cool and there was a screen door if the A/C wasn't on that allowed great air flow through the room. The only downside was the beach club and restaurant on site. The food was amazing but trying to get service or what you ordered could take over an hour. It wasn't isolated as we saw people treated this way the entire week.The hotel was awesome but the way the beach club is run was not good. It was enough of a problem we don't expect to return to this hotel in the future. If you don't plan on setting at the hotel beach club the whole week this is an amazing place to stay!

Location was great for walking into town and for beach access. Only a sheet on the bed but you can ask for a blanket. Limited amenities - no coffee maker, no hair dryer, no tv, no phone. Cement floor was gritty and our feet were filthy the entire time. Pools are not usable as they are very cloudy and full of debris. I believe we paid extra for the option of having a pool. Don’t bother. Restaurant not open for dinner. We didn’t eat breakfast or lunch as there are so many amazing options in town. Threadbare towels that need to be replaced.

The property is on the beach and close walking distancebto middle of town.

The host was very eelcoming and accommodating. Our room is beautiful with a balcony that over looks the grounds. The 2 pools give guests more space. The beach is gorgeous!!

Nice location and building, my particular room #17 the same after valve did not worked on the shower and it was only hot water, there is no tv or small fridge, there should be!

We stayed (group of 7) in four rooms at Casa Iguana. It was clean, the staff was attentive, and the beach club was beautiful. Would absolutely stay again.

This was our first visit to Holbox and this property made our stay for the 7 nights very enjoyable. The pool was right outside our room and was never busy and was nice to soak in every once in a while to cool down. The pool was cleaned daily from what we had seen. The staff from the front desk, cleaners, and restaurant were all very friendly and did a great job! The cleaners were ready to go every day and kept the rooms clean. The other nice thing was the beach was right in front of the hotel where the staff was constantly going back and forth serving food and drinks all day. The area is supposed to be for the hotel guests but I did notice that people would walk down the street between from other locations to set camp there. It didn’t really affect us as we were out early enough to claim a spot but on busy times this could pose an issue. The nice thing is there is sooo many spots all along the beach with loungers I think you could pick a different spot if needed . The downside is you don’t get the benefits to be served with the food and drinks from your own hotel. I would still definitely recommend this place to others!

Great location on the beach, a short walk to town, but far enough to be nice and quiet. What more could you need? We did have a couple requests and Edwin at the front desk was happy to help. He is absolutely amazing, and totally made our stay with his great service. Highly recommend!

The location of the hotel was perfect to walk to the shops and restaurants. It was one of the best places to be across from the beach!

I loved Casa Iguana. Small and quaint, the rooms were very comfortable, and there is AC. My King Bed Ocean View room was awesome and I had a whole second floor deck to myself. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I do wish breakfast was included, but the prices at the restaurant are super reasonable. They serve eggs, fruit, chiliquiles, espresso drinks, smoothies, cocktails, etc. The location is unbeatable, since you can turn left and go to "town" to visit more bars and restaurants, or you can turn right for less crowds and amazing beaches. The beach right in front of Iguana is as good as any though. Definitely recommend getting a Palisade buggy rental and exploring the island up and down, but watch out for deep puddles. We went all the way down Magico, and all the way up Mosquito. The beaches are beautiful everywhere. The whole.island feels safe, and prices are reasonable. Our favorite meals were at Antojitos Karasin for local empanadas and sopas, and Parador 33 for Argentinian steak dinner. Casa Iguana is a gem.

If you're considering Holbox for remote work, this might not be the best choice. The internet connection is unreliable, and the rooms lack proper workspaces, such as desks and chairs. However, if your primary goal is tourism, this place is fantastic! The "beach club" is excellently situated, offering a prime location to enjoy the surroundings. The service was exceptional, and I would definitely stay there again for a leisure trip.
