The hotel is outside Patzcuaro's downtown agitation, so it is a very nice place to take a rest, a coffee and gaze at the beautiful sights offered by the hotel. The rooms are quite spacious, confortable and I loved that each room is different and has it own decoration.

Lovely hotel on the mountain with an AMAZING view. The staff is very friendly and helpful! It is a quick taxi ride to downtown for dinner. The restaurant was only open for breakfast when I was there. There is a little neighborhood store about 3 blocks away. The walk up to "El estribo" is about 30 minutes and well worth the hike! Don't bother climbing the 400 steps at the top tho. My only complaint about the hotel was wifi access was limited. But don't let that stop you from staying at this hotel!

My sisters and I took this trip in mid-January and we very much enjoyed our stay. This hotel is extremely beautiful(if you like rustic). It was nicer than what we expected. The location is rustic but you are in a safe and healthy environment, plus you get a very nice lake view (morning, evening and night). The service was great and I definitely recommend this hotel.

This is not your typical hotel, it is a rustic country house, decorated eclectically and with one of the nicest lake views I have ever seen. You can also see Janitzio island in the middle of the lake.

The views from the hotel grounds and my room were the best part about this hotel. The hotel is very rustic and so are the rooms. They even smell rustic, not sure if I liked that. There is no full size mirror in the room. The hotel staff does not speak any English, but they are super friendly. The restaurant on site is open until 6:00pm. And the food was good, the service was excellent.

Stayed in a room with the Jacuzzi and really enjoyed it. The room was spacious, bed was comfy and warm at night, lots of hot water for the bath (but no pressure). Felt relaxed just being there, great price for what you get.

The charming rooms tastefully appointed and overlooking Lake Patzcuaro commenced a very serene four day stay at the Eco Hotel Ixha. The restaurant provided 5 Star service with a nicely varied menu which lead to delightfully cooked meals that were carefully presented. In-depth assistance was provided by the staff in locating local activities and shopping throughout the Lake Patzcuaro area. Clean and safe transportation was available within five minutes of a request, and provided at a very reasonable cost.

Very special spot that's just a 5-7 minute cab ride from either of the two main squares of Patzcuaro. Room was lovely, had a nice kitchen (though, we didn't use it much, it was great to have a second room with a dining room table to park computers...). Very welcoming and friendly staff, quick to suggest different things to do in the area (though you need to be able to speak Spanish to a certain extent, as none of the staff were fluent...). The views from the rooms (and from all the common areas) over the valley and the lake were just spectacular, and as such, wonderful to come home to at the end of the day. The attached restaurant was great for breakfast (only had drinks/apps there, but not dinner). All in all, a lovely stay, and one that felt a lot more expensive than it actually was!

Este hotel tiene una gran vista de Janitzio y los alrededores desde su jardín. Llegamos muy tarde y la recepcionista estaba allí para saludarnos. El servicio fue maravilloso y todo en nuestra habitación estaba limpia. Tuve un problema que no me gustó. La presión del agua es muy baja, lo que llevó mucho tiempo llenar el jacuzzi y tomar una ducha decente. Aparte de eso, nos lo pasamos muy bien, gracias.

No me pude hospedar en este hotel, me dijeron que no habían recibido la reserva de Expedia hasta 1 día antes de mi llegada, y el día de mi llegada ya no tenían habitaciones disponibles, me enviaron a otro hotel que no cumplió para nada las expectativas; era un departamento en buenas condiciones físicas pero descuidado, muy sucio, con olor a humedad, sin lo básico (jabón, crema, shampoo en baños) sin agua caliente disponible de manera permanente, no vale para nada lo que pague por las 2 habitaciones del hotel. Nunca había tenido problemas con mis reservaciones en años, es la primera vez que me ocurre, fue muy decepcionante, estoy muy molesto porque no es para nada el viaje que tenía planeado, de verdad me arruinó el paseo. Lo que más me molesta es que no me hayan avisado con tiempo que ya no había habitaciones, hubiera cancelado el viaje.
