Hotel Posada de Tampico

Staff is always great

The first room the reception gave me was neglected, she should have made sure that it was clean. But the hotel restaurant workers were very polite.

I only gave it 4 stars as there are many good things about this property but with that comes many bad things. 1st the good; - Pool always perfect swimming temperature and I always had it to myself everyday I swam. - Staff were absolutely amazing and always accommodating and willing to help as much as they could. Spoke dual language at reception made check-in and check-out flawless. - Security for the property was good and always greeted each person/vehicle with respect while maintaining safety of property. Now the bad, you’ll notice a theme; - Air conditioning in room wasn’t cool enough and tried adjusting but to no avail it did not work. - Hot water in shower took nearly a week to finally happen. When it did it was extremely sufficient but still shouldn’t have taken as long even after asking for it to be tended too. - Not much lighting in the room, but that isn’t overly bad sometimes. Although had to open the curtains to the room just to get more light in the room. - Not allowing visitors into the rooms (this I understand for safety and security). Same time I have friends who live in this city and only see while I’m here on vacation. - Located on a hill, so if older it’s harder on the legs to walk up a path and not have any stairs with railings. Overall it’s a nice property and the location is close to everything. I would recommend this to people and myself I would stay here again.

Cada año vengo con mi familia y nos encanta el trato y la ubicación. Altamente lo recomiendo.

The AC unit was not blowing cold air. Breakfast was good, and the pool time was wonderful.

No frig , microwave, alarm clock and wash cloths. Got ran out of pool area for drinking a beer that wasn’t purchased at restaurant. Front desk, restaurant waiters and cashier were excellent. Also there airport shuttle driver was excellent.

Everyone is friendly and they make themselves helpful. Furniture is not new but spacious comfortable rooms. Swimming pool great!

It could have elevator, the personal I super nice, but anyway.

Hotel Posada is dated and Wi-Fi is terrible. But staff is wonderful, breakfast was good, rooms were confortable and clean. I enjoyed my stay.

The property is very old!!! They show pictures of a renewed room and the reality is different. The breakfast was TERRIBLE and toooo expensive

I like that the room was extremely clean and the staff were always friendly and ready to help in anything I needed. The area is one of the best in Tampico and the hotel has a very nice pool. I didn’t like that there is no elevator and you have to carry your luggage through the stairs. Also; the washroom has only half a glass door and it is very small and you need to be careful not to get everything wet when you are taking a shower. They also have a shuttle to the airport which add value to the hotel, they picked me up on time and it is a big van. I found the restaurant a little bit expensive for the small buffet they have and that you need to wait for someone to serve the food to you even when it is a buffet. But again, customer service was extremely good and everyone working there were very helpful and friendly.
