PROS: quiet beach with seaweeds cleaned often, good service all around, good restaurants and food (ironically, Mexican was my least favorite. It never tasted fresh and was mostly bland. Ruperto at the tea house was amazing. Best service in the whole place, very friendly. I saw a family getting ready to leave one of the tables and Ruperto quickly came out from behind the counter to help them clean up and said goodbye to the kids. The bad: once you get off the main road you drive another mile or so on a VERY bumpy road, the driver went under 5mph at times. I didn't see this anywhere on the resort's website but they're supposed to be "green" so no A/C in some restaurants Events didn't match the calendar. Employees in charge of zip line and the video game room were never there or were up to 30-45 min late. Constant repairs all around during our stay. Two of the evenings there was jack hammering near the pools. Tennis & basketball were closed for resurfacing. The ugly: the last 2-3 days of our stay, the buffet and some restaurants closed without notice because after our stay, the resort was booked by a group of 700 guests who had their own catering company. So it was inconvenient for the resort to keep fresh food available for us regular guests and they just served us leftovers. ALSO, we stayed with 4 other families and a week after we came home, most of the kids from the families had rashes on hands and feet along with fever. Won't be coming back. Not for the price we paid.

We stayed from Feb 4–8 to celebrate our first anniversary. The resort itself is lovely, but the experience was ruined by front desk manager Saul, who is nothing short of a scammer. At check-in, he told us we had to pay an environmental tax of $4/night. We were staying 4 nights, so that’s $16, but he casually asked for $20. We trusted him, paid it, and didn’t think twice—until we realized later he charged us for 5 nights. He gave no receipt, and the form we signed didn’t mention the amount. When we questioned it, he became evasive and eventually offered the money back, claiming it was someone else’s “tip.” I later confirmed our booking only required $10 in taxes—he pocketed the rest. Worse, I have a lizard phobia and had one in the bathroom. We called 3 times over 30 minutes—no one came until the lizard was gone. Later, it reappeared and we called again 3 more times. Saul ignored the calls. I went to the front desk and confronted him—he lied, saying the phone didn’t ring, until we proved otherwise. Then, he accused me of faking it to get a better room. Another night manager (name starts with M) was equally rude and unhelpful. Staff like David and a sweet housekeeping lady were great—but management? Dishonest, disrespectful, and not to be trusted. We left disappointed and cheated.

My family of 4 spent 7 nights at Sensira in April 2025. For the first 5 nights, it was generally a good experience. Our room door was unable to lock, but they were quick to fix that within 30 minutes. There are a lot of activities for kids and my son especially loved the adventure club, zipline and the trampoline park. Cleanliness however was an issue on one day where there was urine all over the bathroom floor of the adventure club, and they had to close it down for more than half a day to clean. The first 5 days of our stay, all of the restaurants were open. However, the last two days, the resort started preparing for a big group that was supposed to arrive. There were no new guests arriving as this big group had reserved the entire resort for themselves. They shut down the main buffet and only had 2 of the 3 restaurants open. They moved the buffet to a restaurant with very limited choices for food, and did NOT make any announcements or give any explanations to us. Some of the staff was rude, but overall, the staff at the restaurants still provided good service. They also closed down the mini golf for repair. On the last two nights of our stay, we did not have water for a period of time. The first one was a planned water maintenance disruption from 12-4am. The second night was an unplanned water disruption that lasted from 9pm-4am. There was no running water and toilets were not flushable. We were forced to live in unsanitary conditions. I would NOT recommend Sensira.

We came to Sensira looking for a relaxing, all-inclusive vacation. What we got was a chaotic, mismanaged disaster from the moment we arrived. This resort is absolutely not what it advertises, and the level of disrespect shown to guests outside of a large incoming group (a private event) is appalling. Let me break it down: • On our first night, we had to change rooms twice. The first room had no working TV, no working phone, a broken toilet, and no hot water. The second room’s faucet sprayed directly onto the closet, soaking our shoes and clothes. Only after two moves did we end up in a functioning room—at 1:30 AM. • Over the course of our stay, the buffet was closed for two full days with no prior notice. Mini golf, beach areas, and other amenities were also off-limits. Restaurants were randomly closed or unavailable for days at a time. • The water in the hotel stopped working entirely—no showers, no toilets, no brushing teeth. We were told it would be fixed overnight (April 8th from 12AM–4AM). As of 10:30 PM that same day, we still had no running water, and staff just kept saying “a few more hours.” Not a single apology. • Throughout the stay, we were met with zero accountability. The hotel manager, David, offered a “gift card if we return” instead of compensation. Why would we ever come back? The only apology we received was from him on the first night. Every other issue was met with indifference or silence.

We were there for 3 nights. The first 24h was great. Then, the whole place pretty much shut down in anticipation for a large group coming the day we left. Kids activities, closed. Buffet, closed. On nights 2-3 we had no running water in the room from 9pm-4am. We understand limited capacity may mean some things close, but this was extreme. There were so many staff present to prep for the arriving group, but none dedicated to the people who were already booked at the resort. For example, we waited with one of the workers for over an hour to have the kids play area opened. She was just waiting for the key. No one at the front desk, the manager we spoke with or anyone else was willing or able to open the kids area as advertised, even though the workers for the space were sitting waiting for it to open too. When we inquired at the front desk with management regarding each above mentioned complaint, we were told it was because the resort was preparing for a large group arriving the day of our departure. We believe this is unacceptable for our experience to be negatively impacted by preparing for guests who have not yet arrived. We did not get what was advertised to us and never would have picked this resort had we known that they operate this way. The management and front desk repeatedly told us they could do nothing for us and we needed to take it up with Expedia. As a Gold Member of Expedia I would like a refund or credit towards another trip to make up for the subpar vacation

We arrive at the property early and requested early check in but the management were not cooperative and we got the keys around 3pm, day 2 buffet was closed and had very limited options for vegetarian people they were least care about the contamination, evening thery was water issue continuously we got the notification that water wont be available for 4- 8 hours, our experiences was terrible and would like some refunds from the property. Staff was good and was welcome that made things better.

Overall it is a good resort for families, however we did experience some inconveniences such as buffet being closed multiple times without prior notification, the food choices are limited, the grill food was not good and limited entertainment. Also normally for the kids there are special bracelets for safety and allergies which they didn’t have for kids. We did like the room design for a family with the bunk beds and separation.

The staff at this resort is the best. They’re constantly cleaning, super friendly and accommodating. Food was really good for an all inclusive. We didn’t want to leave! Seaweed is cleaned each morning and is around the beach area/in the water if that bothers you.

Several food stations didn’t open until 30-45 mins after the buffet opened the doors.

Overall the hotel and trip were great. The food was delicious and it was nice to have a little beach that you could actually swim in out front. Just a few things to note, they don’t answer the phone when you call the front desk, it just rings and rings and rings. Also, don’t fall for the free shopping tour. They tell you they take you to town to go shopping for two hours, but its closer to a 5 hour trip and they force you to stop at Matisses jewelry for 45 minutes ( which by the way is fake jewelry and just cut and died glass) and then a “tequila factory” for 45 minutes before they’ll pick you up and then they take you to town. Even if no one on the bus wants to go, they still force you. Might just be worth the taxi ride. When we talked to the hotel about the misguided information, they just say that doesn’t sound like our hotel…
