We had a friendly welcome to the hotel. The owners took time to chat, which has not been the norm. It is very secure with inside parking. Car washing was offered. We didnt get the triple room that we had booked, but the room offered had a huge double bed in a spacious room that was sufficient for our needs. The bathroom was large with a bath and shower. Separate toiletries would have been useful. It was all clean and tidy with good linens. The outside porch was a nice place to sit. Breakfast had some variety and was taken in a pleasant dining room. The hotel itself is a great place to stay for a day or two, but dining options are restricted to fast food and a mediocre restaurant.

This was an excellent little place to stay en route to the Fish River Canyon. It was well presented and the breakfast was excellent. Hosts were pleasant. Bed comfortable, lovely new bathroom and decent shower. There isn't much to Mariental but the supper we ate at the restaurant over the road was decent. The entrance to the hotel isn't well signed and if you are foreign, as we are (therefore without a mobile), it was difficult to attract the host's attention to get the gates open.

Easy to find and check in. Lots of useful local information was given. Room was very well appointed, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. The garden and rooms were elegantly presented, and the security of the grounds was reassuring. Highly recommended.

Upon our arrival we were greeted by Stefan. The rooms were beautifully decorated and the efficient AC unit was much appreciated in the hot Namibian sun. Wifi was good. We booked for one night and were due to have breakfast at the guesthouse the next morning. Unfortunately upon our arrival in the dining room at 9am there were no staff or breakfast. We tried ringing the owner, but could not reach him. Might have something to do with it being the morning of the 1st January, still not acceptable. To date no communication received from the owner offering an explanation / apology.

Eine kleine, sehr persönliche Unterkunft, die eine angenehme Gelegenheit für einen Stopp zwischen Namibias Süden und Windhuk bietet. Großes, sauberes Zimmer, ordentliches Frühstück, sicherer, nur etwas enger Parkplatz auf dem Gelände. Gutes W-LAN, die nahe Hauptstraße ist zu hören.
