Excellent hotel, we stayed 6nights. There was hiccup, but the hotel handled the situation courteously and professionally. Highly recommended. Special mention to Valentin and the concierge services! They are the best!

The hotel was centrally located and great for sight seeing and getting a good look at Amsterdam. The staff were helpful, professional and so nice. The rooms and amenities were excellent. Overall, a beautiful hotel and we loved staying there.

The courtyard entrance makes this quite different and attractive. The Grand is actually "grand" and the staff are outstanding.

The staff at every level was polite, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. They took the time to answer any questions and correct everything to your satisfaction. The hotel was pristine and so so very beautiful.

Excellent location.

An excellent hotel, extremely well situated. Lovely rooms. Adjoining rooms were so useful. All staff friendly, efficient and welcoming. Any requests were actioned very quickly. All hotel spotlessly clean. Rooms thoroughly cleaned every day. Leisure facilities good, lovely pool. Small gym but rarely busy.

Stay was amazing. Responding to Hotels.com survey after check in I commented that my room was very noisy as it fronted a street along the canal. Within a short time the duty customer service manager ( Mickey) contacted me and offered me an excellent alternative room on a higher floor that also had double glazing so achieving huge noise reduction. This understanding response was typical of the superb customer service in this hotel. As an owner of multiple businesses myself I am almost incredulous at the level of customer focus at this property. Friendly courtesy and attentiveness that didn’t miss a beat from a single member of a huge staff is an achievement to behold. Both restaurants were excellent and some noisy rooms apart ( perhaps unavoidable in bustling central Amsterdam) the physical features of the property are fabulous. Thankyou Sofitel Amsterdam.

Gorgeous property, outstanding staff and service, perfect location

I spent 8 nights at The Grand Amsterdam. The service and location are impeccable. The room isn't overly elegant but it's very comfortable and I enjoyed my stay very much. The bed is great and provides a wonderful night's sleep. There is an overhead "rainfall" shower head but the pressure isn't great and the water temp could be hotter. Still, overall I had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. I was able to get a competitive rate through Expedia and would absolutely return if I were able to again obtain a preferred rate. In fact, I've seen the rate as much as double or more than I was able to get during my trip. For my rate this hotel represented excellent value. At double or more? Not so much. To recap the service and location are top notch. There are more elegant and grander hotels but Sofitel definitely holds its own in the comfort, service and location departments. My compliments and appreciation to the staff for their good work and making my stay a pleasant one.

A great, historic property with phenomenal employees at the heart of everything in town.

Beautiful building and design. All services are in very high standards. Near to many restaurants, cafes and cool walks.

Nice hotel but the walls and windows were extremely thin. Could very clearly hear people in rooms next to you and on the streets. If you’re looking to party and sleep isn’t a priority this is a great spot.

Amazing property with quality restaurants, staff and beautiful property. The best and fancy hotel in Amsterdam.
