Great location with amazing views

Clean and well equipped property in a great location. However the staff was not welcoming. With $600 per nighy you would expect better customer service.

Great location. Friendly & helpful staff. A short walk to the Chamois Bar & Grill for an excellent casual dinner. Stunning view of Mr Cook in the morning. Highly recommended

Our room was on the end of our building and we had a wake up view of the top of the mountains. We walked to the short Governor’s Trail the afternoon we arrived. It’s pretty steep, but easy overall and perfect to get moving after a 4hr drive over. It’s a good climb Very easy access to the Hooker Lake Trail and well worth the price for a one night stay. They assign a parking spot for your unit and someone took ours when we were away at dinner so we parked in the laundry spot and our neighbor experienced the same issue. Simple rules folks.

Excellent accommodation.

It is VERY expensive for what it is—essentially a nice roadside motel. There are very few dining options so it has a kitchen but no plates or bowls. The bed was very soft for any back health and the TV didn’t work. To be fair, it is in the mountains but to rely only on satellites means it doesn’t work much of the time.

This place has the best view of the snow capped The surrounding areas are perfect for star gazing and astrophotography.

The room had everting we needed ,amazing view of the mountains and the most comfortable bed ever!

This is a fabulous place to stay in Aoraki/Mt Cook village. The room was spacious and well equipped. The owners also sent a useful welcome email advising of eating options and advsing you to bring any groceries you needed due to the lack of a supermarket at Aoraki.

Very large room with everything I needed and more. Great tub and shower with good water pressure and a very comfortable bed. Definitely didn't hurt to have an amazing Mountain View from the patio

I can see why so many people love this place. The views were spectacular, it's walkable to Hooker Valley trail, and the inside was really nice, clean, comfy bed, great bathroom.

Motel was very overpriced for the quality and facilities

Location, location, location. New property.

Friendly staff, let us check in early, park right outside room, laundry nearby with free detergent, large clean room with fully stocked kitchen. We ate dinner one night at the Hermitage Hotel and preferred this hotel and were glad we didnt pick Hermitage to stay at because this motel felt quieter and more easily accessible. It was the best choice in Mt Cook for us. The only improvement would be that it's a row of motel rooms and some, like ours, had some of the mountain views blocked by other motel rooms. It seemed one row of rooms had unobstructed views of Mt Cook mountains, so I'm not sure how to request one of those rooms, but it would have been an even better stay than our already pretty great stay if i had booked one of those rooms. Highly recommend this motel.
