I have stayed here a few times when working in the area and it is one of my favorite places to stay! The kiwi cabin is lovely- it has a real homely feel to it and it is a bonus getting to see the farm animals. The hosts are fantastic and leave you plenty of beautiful foods for breakfast and condiments for cooking. I would absolutely recommend

We only stayed 1 night , lovely setting, quiet,lovely outside sitting and eating area.
Inside everything you would need with the added bonus of produce in the fridge for breakfast.
Bedroom compact but very comfortable.
Bathroom, very good pressure on the shower and plenty of hot water.
Our only gripe was there was no instructions for the AC/ heating( we are unaccustomed to AC) which we needed for the chilly morning.
All in all a very good stay.

This place honored its name fully... its trully a restful place like send from heaven. My husband and I stayed there for two days at the beginning of our NZ trip and we have been saying how its been the best place. It was spotless, the breakfast was good and very quiet. I highly recommend 👌

Our second stay at this fabulous property which is set in secluded grounds and surrounded by farmland. This time we stayed in the Kakapo wing, with its large bedroom, dressing room and bathroom with shower and bath. Very clean throughout, and the bed is large and comfortable. Breakfast is a "help yourself" in the lovely lounge/kitchen with areas in the fridge dedicated to each of the rooms. Large choice of cereals, bread, yoghurt, fresh orange juice and various fruits.
The rooms overlook a paddock with a cow and a couple of goats.

Amazing B&B. It was modern, beautifully styled, had everything we needed, tranquil location, seamless check-in and check-out. Our only disappointment is that we wish we stayed longer. Highly recommend!

Heaven’s Rest certainly lives up to its name! We booked one night as we passed through the area and were delightfully surprised to find this gem. The grounds are gorgeous and the accommodations elegant and very well stocked, the bed very comfortable. We stayed in the two bedroom cabin, Kiwi Cabin.
We appreciated the foods left for us for our breakfast, bread, spreads, cereal, oats, milk, juice… Another appreciated feature is the picnic table on our deck. It overlooked the paddock, where we got to visit with 2 goats, a cow and several hens.
We unfortunately didn’t get to meet our hosts, which saddened us. We would have liked to tell them in person how pleased we were with our short stay. We would most definitely go back!

One night stay on our way back up to Auckland for our flight home. Small one bedroom with shower, kitchenette and living area. Nice position overlooking farmland. Provisions for breakfast provded. Friendly owner. Ten minutes drive into nearby town with a choice of restaurants

We had a fabulous stay here. The hosts were very welcoming and the units are fabulous. The cupboards were very generously stocked for our breakfast, and we loved the fact that we had a cow and two goats who were just over the fence. We are definitely coming back. Loved it here! Thank you!

Very clean and welcoming. Adorable and sensible tiny homes. Fridge and cupboards stocked for breakfast with fresh fruit, eggs, bread, yogurt… walk to the fence and pet the sweet cow. Sat in the hot tub and sipped some cab. We were genuinely sad to leave! Thank you!!
