Well located for shopping and viaduct- to catch the ferry. The staff were great and attentive, very accomodating. Breakfast offerings were delicious to satisfy different dietary requirements. I absolutely will stay here again.

Best location for anyone embarking on a cruise from Auckland. Worth coming in 3-4 days ahead of time. Location is awesome! Definitely worth a second stay anytime I’m in town!

Lovely, clean, comfortable hotel, with a superb location on the harbor

We were "upgraded" to a king room that had a very strange and steep ramp to the bathroom i stead of a step up, causing it to feel a but like a fun house. And there was a very large window to the bathroom right beside the bed. The window could be made frosty but always let through light so when my husband would get up in the night to pee, the whole bedroom would light up with bright light, waking me up each time. The restaurant was a bit of a disappointment for the mains. Our stay was overall ok

We stayed in the Doha, Qatar, Intercontinental hotel in February 2025 and were very pleased with our stay, apart from a very bad check in experience. We then decided to stay in another Intercontinental, this time in Auckland. Generally the Auckland Intercontinental was very good except for the room AC not working properly, ended up have 5 extremely uncomfortable nights in a lovely room. We complained about this issue to the front desk, on two separate occasions but the AC was not fixed. We really think someone needs to carefully check the above AC issues.

Amazing hotel with well trained professionals as staff. Am absolutely planning to come back.

Great location and friendly staff. The concierge staff we talked with were very young, very friendly, and not very knowledgeable about the neighborhood restaurants. They need more training from the hotel, and I'm sure they'll dial it in. But there's a risk in hiring young people who don't come from, or know very much about, Auckland.

The stay was very nice. Except for the bed it made us sink into the middle.

Awesome accommodation right near the quay with the ferry terminal. The room was modern and beautifully decorated. The staff was friendly, professional, and accommodating. This hotel was a great choice and we look forward to staying there again.

Lovely hotel room, but difficult to operate lighting

Convenient location across from the ferry terminal and close to shopping and restaurants. Staff were courteous an attentive. I love the filtered water station on every floor. Rooms were up-to-date and clean with motorized shades and a minibar. The only issue is there is no driveway in front of the hotel, so if you order an Uber or a taxi, or pulling up with a rental car to unload/load your bags, there is only a small space off the side of the road where you can do this. If it's occupied by a van, you're out of luck.

On arrival from the cruise dock, we expected to have to store our luggage till check in. Our room was already available, which was great. The room was spacious and well equipped. The bed was a bit too soft for my husband. This was rectified within hours of him mentioning it. The restaurant was great and staff throughout the property were courteous and helpful. Our only issue was the touch pad controlling lights, aircon and window blinds. Maybe our age was the problem, as we found ourselves raising the blinds when we intended to turn on a light.
