The uniqueness was the Tudorisque style of the rooms and everything around it. Liked the attention to detail inside the room like door handles etc with Harrypotterish around.
Front desk members were very helpful . They surprised us with a NZ specific fruit Feigi. something to learn everyday. The highlight was a free upgrade to a two bedroom . Kids loved it. Price was good. Too bad we were only for a day . wished we could have stayed more.

Great location, despite being on a main road, I found it very quiet. Easy walk to Papanui shops. Onsite parking and restaurant. Staff super friendly and helpful. Thank you for the upgrade - loved my spacious room and I'd definitely love to stay again.

The property is at a great location. Walkable and drivable to all the attractions, shopping and dining spots. I like the abundant parking space best at this property.
However the room we stayed at was very much aged. The fittings and household equipment offered was like from 1990s. While this may suits some guests’ flavor, it certainly isn’t my cup of tea. I would suggest an imminent room revamp so not to waste such a good location.

Older hotel, unfortunately I could hear the person next door snooring, it felt like they were in my room. Perhaps some sound proofing on the internal doors is require. Hotel restaurant was nice.

This was an economy or budget room. The bed was very comfortable but the room itself was dated and tired - in need of an upgrade. There was no air conditioning but I did find a pedestal fan in the cupboard. The room was upstairs. No allocated parking spot but you could park almost anywhere on the site but it might not be close to your room. Guest laundry on site. The staff were friendly and helpful.
