Bjørnfjell Mountain Lodge

The lodge was clean, quiet, and warm, with good Wi-Fi and an easy check-in. However, there was no soap provided upon arrival, which was disappointing. We booked partly because of the photos showing a jacuzzi, but it turned out this was only available for one specific cabin – something that wasn’t clearly explained. The lodge felt impersonal and lacked privacy, making it unsuitable for couples. We also didn’t eat at the restaurant because the prices were simply too high. Overall, not good value for the money unless you’re here strictly for skiing and just need a place to sleep.

A stylish hotel in beautiful surroundings. We loved staying here as it is well presented and comfortable. We were made to feel v welcome. Alvin went out of his way to make sure we had a brilliant evening and the cooking by Nina was excellent. Local produce, tasty and felt like home cooked food of top restaurant standard. Would highly recommend.

Alta is a great destination within the Artic circle It is the ideal base for a day trip to the North Cape and the town has lots of history. The surrounding countryside is truly stunning. Bjornfjell offers superb and ultramodern lodges which are perfect for families. Highly recommended

Siisti, nykyaikainen ja kaikin tavoin hyvä hotelli. Ystävällinen ja asiakkaan huomioiva henkilökunta. Hotelli sijaitsee vuoristossa, kaupunki on etäällä, mutta sijainti sopii auto-/motoristimatkailijalle hyvin.

The staff was amazing! This place puts an actual to shame. Great experience and very comfortable. A must stay if you are in the area!

Wij hadden 1 nacht geboekt omdat we op dooreis waren. Transfer van en naar het vliegveld en busstation was perfect geregeld. De accommodatie is werkelijk subliem. Tot in de puntjes verzorgd. ‘S avonds heerlijk gegeten en de volgende ochtend verwend met een verrukkelijk ontbijt. De accommodatie bevindt zich op een geweldige locatie!! Het personeel is zeer gastvrij en behulpzaam, wij voelden ons helemaal thuis. 1 nacht was dan ook veel te kort, wij komen zeker terug!! Bjørnfjell Mountain Lodge krijgt van ons de allerhoogste waardering voor alle onderdelen!

We absolutely loved our stay at Bjørnfjell and can’t wait to go back. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Our Lodge are gorgeous, stylish decorated but also cosy, with comfy beds and a huge window looking out at the Ski-slope. We saw the Northern lights right above there. The best thing was also all the activities - we went cross country skiing with a wonderful guide, sledding and relaxed in the Sauna Cabin. The restaurant is also fantastic - the Chef is creative with fresh local ingredients. Breakfast was delicious too with lots of choose and homemade bread and jam. We loved it and felt so refreshed by our stay. Next time we also take the Polar night trip to watch for the lights from the Mountain top.

Amazing stay over Christmas!! The cabins are so cozy, the spa cabin was private and relaxing, the food was incredible and overall the service from the staff was fantastic — they thought of everything and anticipated all of our needs. I would love to come back and stay even longer next time.

Loved the first 99% of the stay. Friendly, serviceminded and welcoming staff. The cabin was fantastic, as it should considering the price, paid more than NOK 5,000 for one night. Great breakfast included, the best we experienced in our 20 days roadtrip to Nordkapp. One thing that irritated us a lot was that the Spa-cabin was extremely pricy, but no-one warned us of the cost. Not in material in the cabin, on hotels.com, on the the webpage or by the staff. We therefore used the spa in the afternoon and again in the morning. First 4 family members and in the morning 3 familily members again. By check out we were charged 2x4xNOK 400 for the two visits. In sum an xtra charge of NOK 3200 for a bit of sauna and a bit of hot-tub. As we only used the spa-cabin 3 persons in the morning, we got NOK 400 back in bills. However as it turns out, one of the NOK 100 bills we got back was invalid and too old to use in Norway any more. Definaltely a top-lousy ending to an otherwise terrific stay.

Very unique property. It was quiet, they were in constant communication prior to our arrival and they made special arrangements for our late arrival.

Fantastisk flott sted. Må oppleves. Supre lokaler, veldig god mat og veldig hyggelig personale som det var kjekt å snakke med. Håper å komme tilbake. 👍

Vi hadde et nydelig opphold på bjørnfjell mountain lodge. De ansatte var svært hyggelige og imøtekommende. Det var rolig og flotte omgivelser. Hytten var også svært koselig og fin.

Ankom sent, men med døgnbemannet resepsjon var det null problem. Flott stort rom, god fruktost og utrolig hyggelig personale. Anbefales!

The stay at Bjørnfjell Lodge was outstanding. The cabins are very nice, the food is excellent and the staff was so helpful - it made our stay a lot more relaxed. Even when it rained one morning, just sitting in the nook of the bay window of the cabin, looking down into the valley below, was soooo relaxing'.

Aivan ihana hotelli! Mahtava ja ystävällinen henkilökunta, upeat maisemat ja hieno mökki. Ainoa miinus, että vähän kuuma oli helteellä.

Kaikki oli todella hyvin, mutta aamiainen oli vähän niukka.

L'albego e' meraviglioso, la struttura e' nuovissima! Arredamento molto chic per essere un albergo di montagna. Il personale e' disponibilissimo e si mangia divinamente. Da tener presente che non c'e' un menu scritto con i prezzi dei pasti (rigorosamente zuppa di pesce o carne a pranzo e bistecca o salmone contorno e dolce a cena) quindi e' meglio farsi dire in anticipo il prezzo di tutto per evitare brutte sorprese. Il supermercato piu' vicino e' a 4 km e se non si ha la macchina e' meglio farsi accompagnare da qualcuno dello staff (lo fanno volentieri). Su richiesta, lo staff organizza anche trasporti aeroporto/albergo e viceversa oppure dall'albergo a Alta e viceversa se si vuole visitare la citta' (a pagamento: 400 nok a persona). Noi abbiamo fatto km di passeggiate nei boschi innevati attorno e abbiamo visto anche l'aurora boreale, dietro l'albergo! Ci sono anche piste da sci. Lo staff e' estremente gentile e disponibile, hanno usato molte accortezze nei nostri confronti, tutti promossi a pieni voti! L'unica cosa negativa e' che ci1 sono sembrati un po' disordinati nel presentarci il conto finale (non sapevano dirci il perche' di alcune spese, quindi occhio). Preferiscono il pagamento con la carta (non avevano quasi mai resto quando volevamo pagare in contanti)
