OK for one night

Great value in a nice little town. Clean, comfortable rooms. Great access to two national parks: Jostedalsbreen and Jotunheimen. The hotel is the only "action" in town, that is restaurant and "bar" (really the front desk, which in addition to alcohol also served as the local ice cream parlor).

Very nice location. Spacious rooms, one with renovated bathroom and another out of service. Varied breakfast. However, the cleanliness failed, dirty carpet and sofa.

Didn’t know what to expect. We wound up in a cabin in their campground- there is also a hotel but it looks more hostel like. Cabin had awful bed - one of us wound up sleeping in the hard couch as the double bed was very small and mattress squishy. Above the double was a single bunk but had no ladder to get up. You have to clean it before leaving or be charged extra but there was no broom, mop or trash bin. But, there was a dishwasher! Quite odd. Cabin 1 was attached to Cabin 2- thankfully our neighbors were quiet. However it was a noisy location as it was right by entrance and camp restroom/shower.continuous foot , car and Rv traffic during daylight. Breakfast could be purchased at the hotel but compared to other hotel breakfasts it looked skimpy, picked over and not worth it. Gaupne is a cute quiet town but this lodging leaves a lot to be desired. Found a nice path to walk along the river up to the waterfall.

be aware that they book rooms from a campground as cabins at the hotel. then no linens are provided unless you pay 10 US per person which was in the fine print and i missed. finally you HAVE TO CLEAN THE CABIN YOURSELF! No mention of that on expedia. rooms and cabins are all non smoking but ours smelled horribly of smoke. expedia in the end refunded us part of the fee.

Great self service cabins. Nice view. Spacious. Equipped kitchen. You should bring your own linen, but it was odd that there was no soap/hand soap at all.

Nice cabin in beautiful location, very clean. However, the small refrigerator had NO FREEZER! This led to our frozen food thawing and also prevented us from making ice. Ad said kitchen was “fully equipped”. Sadly, it wasn’t!

Hotel staff recommended a route under construction. It was impossible to get there and took like 4 hours...

The internet Wifi was not good at all. We needed it for work and it was a problem.

Ingen airkondisjon, kjempevarmt på rommene, selv lufting via gangkorridor hjalp lite. Vanskelig å sove. God frokost!

Paese molto carino, con il ristorante dell’hotel comodo o volendo a pochi km altri ristoranti. Personale molto disponibile e gentile, abbiamo avuto un problema e ci hanno dato tutte le informazioni necessarie per risolverlo, tutto in perfetto inglese. Grande servizio. Camera spaziosa e confortevole, bagno comodo e pulito.

Hotellet ligg fint til midt i sentrum. Perfekt beliggenhet om ein vil ta ein tur til Jostedalen, eller ein tur opp på Sognefjellet (Sognafjeddle på lokalt munne). Veldig hyggelege folk som jobbar på hotellet. God frukost.

We werden vriendelijk ontvangen door de eigenaars. We hadden zelf een foutje gemaakt bij de boeking en dit werd snel en zonder morren aangepast. Ruime kamers, wat kleine badkamer, lekker gegeten in hun restaurant 's avonds en het ontbijt was ook in orde. Ruime parkeerplaats van het hotel zelf.
