Food was good, a reasonable variety. The bed felt like home, very comfortable.

Nice hotel and nice room on the inside, but located in a seedy part of the city fairly far away from city sights and the airport, and where they don’t recommend walking at night. There’s a TGI Fridays connected to the hotel with good American food. The pool looked nice but I didn’t use it. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We had an ok stay here. When we arrived, we were assigned a room that faced the street. It was loud…and there was a car alarm that would not stop beeping. There was no way we could get sleep. We asked to be transferred to another room. The front desk was gracious and helpful. They switched us to a quieter room, which was great because there was no outside noise and we could sleep but there was also no view. The window opened to a concrete wall. It was fine…the room was otherwise comfortable and clean. The pros…there’s a coin-operated laundry onsite you can use for a quick load. I did a load while my daughter swam in the pool. The pool was nice and clean. There’s a microwave, coffee maker, and fridge in the room. The free breakfast was nice but it’s held in a room that feels corporate and stuffy. Good front desk service and housekeeping. There’s daily cleaning/bed making for your room. The cons: although it’s only a few km from downtown/casco viejo, it feels far. It’ll take you a good 20-30 mins to get to casco viejo if you’re traveling during rush hour. Not during rush hour is 10-15 mins in an uber. The whole first floor is being renovated, so it’s kind of like your going through a construction site when down there. Also, there are no good authentic restaurants nearby. there’s just TGI Fridays, ihop, and like kfc. Overall, we had a comfortable sleep and thought the hotel was well equipped but lacked in location.

Very clean room. Close to where I needed to get things done...visa etc. Was able to work out in fitness room. Breakfast was excellent. There was some cinstruction going on but it is off season so that makes sense.

We have stayed here numerous times over the years. It’s a good value for the price. The staff is courteous and helpful. We got the suite and it was amazing with all the room, amenities and climate control in both rooms. I highly recommend this hotel.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the exceptional Front Desk team—especially Alejandro, Jorge, and the administrative assistant whose name unfortunately escapes me at the moment. Throughout our stay, they demonstrated remarkable professionalism by being helpful in recommending various tourist sites and attractions, and consistently interactive, attentive, and highly efficient in addressing our needs. When we initially checked in and discovered that our assigned room next to the elevator was causing some disturbance due to noise issues, they handled the situation with remarkable professionalism and promptly relocated us to a more suitable room the very next morning, ensuring our comfort for the remainder of our stay. The breakfast options were excellent. I would definitely return when visiting Panama due to its easy access to all tourist sites. The taxi service was exceptional. Our driver demonstrated great professionalism, maintaining a friendly demeanor. His careful driving and thorough knowledge of the local roads made us feel completely at ease during our transfers.

When I am in Panama City I always stay at the Best Western El Dorado! The staff, the rooms, and the area is great. Highly recommended!
