Peru Apartments 4 Rent

This was not a good experience and I do not recommend this place for several reasons. First, pay with hotels.com. Once booked and paying at local hotel became a problem. Of the 3 apartments both paying on-site pressured us to pay in cash, who carries that kind of cash? Penalties for paying with credit card charges, check-in communication issues, hidden costs (in fine print) added for cleaning which was expensive. And to top it off the unit was dirty when we arrived, so do they really clean units they charge you $60 for? The manager seemed accommodating but the whole experience being forced to give a check in time and miscommunications made this such a drudgery, worrisome and time consuming. Our experience was far better at Urbano Apartments check them out.

First, this is not a hotel, so there is no front desk etc. We knew that & have stayed in similar places before & enjoyed the concept. When we arrived at the address on the Hotels.com reservation, a very unfriendly security guard told us that this was not a hotel & they didn't take guests. I called the number for the owner on the Hotels.com reservation, but it was out of service. I was then forced to call the uk from my cellphone (at significant expense) to speak to someone from Hotels.com. 10 mins later, she called back & gave me an address in the neighbouring tower. We went there & the security called the owner, who came down 10-15 mins later. She then led us back to the 1st tower to sign us in with the previously seen guard. We saw several guests signed in in this way over the coming days, so the security guard was clearly being difficult towards us. 30 mins after arriving we were shown to the apartment. It was a good size with separate bedroom & living area/kitchen. We were then charged a US$60 cleaning fee. The state of cleanliness of the apartment was not high & I had to clean the bathroom of long black hair & dirty floor before we could use it. The cleanliness definitely needs to be improved. However, the apartment was comfortable with a very comfortable bed. Of course anywhere in Lima is subject to 24 hr traffic noise, so we had to sleep with earplugs. The view from the 17th fl balcony was amazing & there was a small pool area at the top of the other tower.

Cuando llegamos no tenian conocimiento de nuestra reserva. Nos cobraron mucho mas de lo pactado por impuestos y por pago con tarjeta de credito. La piscina no funcionaba. El microondas tampoco funciono.
