Was such a nice little hotel, with bamboo made bungalows only 15 meters from the beach. The staff and owner of the hotel were such great people who made us food that wasn't on the menu they just went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and having a good time. A special thanks to Briza, Jam, Gabby and Christian for making my stay one of the best I've ever had.

As a woman travelling on own this was the perfect place. The rooms are simple but really nice as all natural materials and all have a balcony. The area around the huts is great too, with trees and a hammock. The staff are so friendly and informal. Fabio, his mum, Laura and Queenie make you feel part of the family. It has a lovely bar area where you can hang out. I went full board and that was a treat as the food is really lovely (if a tad expensive in terms of Phillippine prices). The beach there is nice and literally a few steps away. There are fishing boats and an indigenous village nearby so lots of children playing. There is a pristine beautiful beach just a little walk away. For my taste, by far the nicest place I saw. Thank you guys

After a very long trip to get there, I was greeted by the staff with "Oh sorry sir, your room will not be available for three days. Let us give you a different room until then." The room they offered was nearly a shack in the jungal, across the street from the beach with no refrigerator or wi fi.

This is a no frills resort. If you're looking to get of the beaten pay this the place . We loved it walking distance on the beach to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island , not white beach, much nicer. Restaurant has a limited selection but some tasty local foods . We rented a motorcycle for 4days best thing ever as we saw the island at our own pace. Support staff fantastic and liokes after us . Very rustic rooms gret experience.

I reserved a cabin for 3 nights, but was unable to contact them by phone or text, and they did not return emails, so rather than risk a land and sea journey I skipped the entire trip. How can one run a hotel and not have a phone or answer email? Don't waste your time on this place.

The experience was overall good but there are a few things we think the resort could improve on: - The girl at the front desk when we checked in was very rude. We asked for help in getting assistance for booking our return journey to Batangas and she responded in a not so nice way. We understand that the boats are full the next day due to it being a public holiday but we have at least expected some courtesy and a bit of advise instead of just pointing us to the list of schedule on their wall. The same girl also advised us that the pasta we have ordered is good for one person only when in fact it isn't. Also, she was frowning the whole time. Maybe she isn't used to serving her fellow Filipinos, I don't know. The other girl who was serving us at the restaurant, in contrast, was very courteous and have always checked if we have water on our glasses and even gave us free piece of garlic bread when we asked. - It's hard to close the door of our room. - In the heat of the summer, sometimes even the fans are not able to keep us cool, though we have acknowledged this and this is not at all the fault of the resort. - A lot of the times the benches at the beach are dirty and no one was giving priority to guests (locals sit there all the time). - The advice given to us regarding island hopping by the reception (the rude girl gave the advise) is different from the one listed on the information book inside the room. The rude girl basically just told us to look for our own boatman.

The resort was great. Great location, right on the beach, and very clean. The only issue we had the whole weekend was that the power on the island went out the first night and the room (no AC just fans) was very hot. Understand that they couldn't have done anything to prevent this besides buying a backup generator. The staff were very friendly and nice as well as the other guests. If you are looking for a simplistic quiet getaway this is the place for you. We loved our stay and will more than likely becoming back in the future. Fabio is a gentleman and very nice. He was more than accomodating to all of our needs. The staff helped arrange activities whenever we wanted them. Overall it was an incredible vacation that we are so happy we took.

The resort itself is very basic. Don't expect to pay little and get a lot of expensive bonuses. It has basic amenities such as private toilet, hot shower, nice big comfy bed. If you're ok with that this is the place for you. But you don't really stay at Amami because of the resort but because of the staff and fellow travelers. Share a story of two with Fabio and his mom. Share a story or two with Massimo the chef. You'll enjoy it. You'll be treated like family and it makes you feel more at home. The food is excellent and has large servings and the resort is right next to the beach with excellent swimming opportunities.
