More about hotels in Corong-Corong
Corong-Corong, El Nido
Corong-Corong is a quieter beach barangay in Poblacion, El Nido, on the northern tip of Palawan — about 10 minutes by tricycle south of El Nido's town centre. It trades the town proper's noise and density for a longer, sunset-facing stretch of beach and a more resort/villa-style spread of accommodation, while staying close enough to reach the town's restaurants, dive shops and boat-tour piers.
What Corong-Corong is known for
Corong-Corong Beach and neighbouring Marimegmeg Beach are known as calmer, less crowded sunset spots than the town's main beach — the open, west-facing bay gives some of El Nido's best sunset views without the crowds at El Nido town's seafront. It's also home to El Nido's main land-transport terminal, so it's a common first or last stop for travellers arriving by van from Puerto Princesa.
Getting there
There's no direct flight from Australia to El Nido — most travellers fly into Manila or Cebu, then connect on a smaller domestic flight to El Nido Airport (Lio) or to Puerto Princesa followed by a 5-6 hour van transfer. From El Nido Airport, Corong-Corong is a short tricycle or van ride. The famous Island Hopping Tours A-D depart from El Nido's town pier, a short tricycle hop from Corong-Corong.
