Staff- good communication, courteous, always available and offered good values to island hoping packages and motorbike rental. Location- beach front. There is no front entrance to the main property which is a negative. You have to go through an alley to the side of the property leading to the beach and ti the back entrance of the apartment. However, you have to be back from downtown before 7 or 8 pm to avoid the high tide. Another draw back is no tricycle driver would like to take you back to the property during high tides. That means you have to walk about 15 minutes from townsquare, which is not bad. Although the studio apartment has a kitchen, the property is so close to other big resorts with restaurants and bars! Nice beach walk to at least three within 1 to 5 minutes! You can swim on the beach during high tides, but we prefer to use the pools in the nearby resorts for a very small fee. Price- very good value, especially if you prefer to cook your own meals and brew your coffee. But honestly, the food prices at the nearby restaurants are so reasonable, why bother cook?

We loved the location of the property and the view is amazing. Our room was really spacious and very comfortable. It could do with a little updating, but it didn't spoil our stay at all.

The only real positive of this place is its beachfront location. When we arrived at the town square, the host arranged a tuk-tuk for us, but we were told to pay for it ourselves. We later learned many nearby accommodations provide complimentary transfers for check-in and check-out. We booked a four-night stay. First night: Acceptable, but the room had an old, very noisy air conditioner with no remote, and the shower pressure was extremely weak. Second night: The electricity went out. All surrounding properties switched to generators and had power. This one did not. Staff tried until midnight to start their generator but failed. We had no air conditioning, no fan, no lights, no hot water, and no way to charge our phones. The room was hot, dark, and full of mosquitoes. We assumed it would be fixed the next day. Third night: Still no electricity. I messaged the host, but we were expected to stay in the same conditions. Fourth night: After escalating the issue, we were moved to Reef Strand Hotel two minutes away. I wish we had booked there from the start. Spending three of four nights without electricity is unacceptable. The property seemed unprepared for outages and expected guests to tolerate substandard conditions. I would not recommend staying here.

In general El Nido is a quite crowded place, with ugly beaches and many people trying to sell you things. If you want to stay away from this mess, this hotel is a good option. It might take you a while to walk to it from downtown (around 20 min), but I think it is worthy. The room was spacious for the price we paid, and you will pay much more if you want to have the same in central El Nido. The hotel host was quite nice and helped us booking a bus ticket and finding a tricycle to take us to the bus station (100 PHP). It is not the hotel's fault, but if I could choose again I would not waste my time in El Nido. I'd spend more time in Port Barton (for relaxing and beautiful beaches) and Coron (for beautiful landscapes). There are so many people in El Nido's boat tours that it is impossible to see anything (you will get to the so called "secret beach" and find 300 people there). In general, the hotel made us feel better in a super disappointing place.

There are no food facilities available and not all appliances were working plus there were ants in the rooms.

Before anything, I would like to say that the Mary Ann, the inn keeper, was very helpful and accommodating. Knowing that the location is very shady, she offers to buy water and drinks for us during our stay. Even helped us book a van. Now to the hotel review. The beach villa is a nice place to stay in if you want to get away from people and the main city center. It takes 10 minutes by trike to get there from the city center, and you'd have to pass through very small alleys and tight roads to get there. Beside the villa is an empty lot where they repair boats. If you're looking for a beach front, this isnt it either since there isnt much of a beach to speak of during high tide, and even during low tide, the beach is filled with big rocks so that doesnt make it any better. The rooms are very traditional with their walls and roofing with a really cold airconditioner. Comes fully equipped with a kitchen and fridge. Basically, if you just plan on staying in and cooking all your meals yourself, this place is perfect. However, if you just want a nice place to stay in and then explore the city streets and meet people, this wont work for you. They do have free hotel transfers from the beach villa to the city, but it takes 10 minutes for the trike to get there.

Ended up looking for another accomodation (Yes, it was double pay for us). No refund policy was a risk. They have diff hotels, wouldnt know if you'll be staying at the central part or out of no where. Also, make sure to REQUEST airconditioning, or else they will not transfer you to a room with one. Tried talking to the people to ask for even just a partial refund...nothing is the answer.

This is the best secret El Nido has. Now I know it's not the most convenient way of reaching and getting to the villa but once you get there it's amazing!!! The view in front of your villa is spectacular!!! The service we got from the caretaker (Mary Ann) and her husband is second to none. The couple went out of their way to serve us and to make sure we are happy and contented. They even cooked for us. Wonderful people. We would go back in a New York minute. We truly enjoyed staying at this place.

If you don`t mind sleeping with ants spread around the kitchen bench top and 12 inch geckos crawling around the room, then this place is for you. There is a slight partial sea view, but was mainly blocked by the vast amount of palm trees on the property. The building can be described as a very large and old tree house. It is literally supported by a large tree trunk with a swamp of ants housed within. Unfortunately, the geckos are necessary to keep the ants at bay due to the fact of it being supported by a large living tree trunk. The only good thing about this place was the housekeeper Myriam, who was always very kind and accommodating and even cooked a delicious lunch for us on two occasions. There was also a loss of electricity on a dozen occasions and their back up generator was faulty. If you don't want the ants and geckos stay somewhere else.

the hotel is nice and the staff is very friendly, however, the road to access it is very narrow so it's better to contact the hotel a little bit in advance to arrange a pick up in town

The staff was very helpful in organizing boat trip and shuttle service. Great place to stay for families with a full kitchen in the room. Location is a bit out of town so be ready to walk about 20 minutes to get there but its a nice walk.

Not a very happy stay but we had amazing time in el nido. Hotel is very far away from downtown, the transportation is a huge problem, if you walk, it will takes like half an hour, and normal tricycle cannot come in Becoz the narrow road, if it is a raining day, you hv to walk into this muddy lane, and hotels staff not very helpful at all.
