What Guests Say About Their Stay

My stay at Microtel Batangas was superb! From the time I checked in, my experience was extraordinary. This was not the usual hotel I would choose. However, what makes this hotel great is their staff. Lani, the hotel manager, made me looked into several rooms to choose from to accommodate my needs. Ron Q, the afternoon front desk staff was always available to assist with my needs whether it was food, transportation or extra towel at night. During the day, I was helped by the day shift staff like Sherilene. Prior to my arrival, Hazel helped me too and I like that upon arrival she introduced herself. My room attendant Roy kept my room clean and well stocked with water and coffee everyday. The breakfast staff were great too. The breakfast buffet has decent selection everyday. It is sufficient abd different everyday. One day, I had to leave early and they prepared a togo breakfast for me. That was sweet of the staff to offer. Overall my experience was excellent and I will stay here again if I am in the area. Great value for tte money.

We chose the Microtel after checking out 2 other hotels closer to San Pablo. This hotel was much nicer than the others and definitely worth the extra dollars and time spent traveling to and from San Pablo by bus each day. The hotel has a new or almost new appearance inside and out and the rooms are very nice for what Wyndam advertises as no frills - you definitely don't feel like your in a no frills room because everything looks new, nicely color coordinated, and very clean. The breakfast buffet is nice as well, although not as large a selection as the 5 star hotels in Manila. Overall I was highly satisfied and would want to stay there again when in the area.

Only book the renovated rooms as the old ones are unliveable - no hot water and and aircon system from 1963. The new rooms are fine, just ok. Breakfast is poor. Note to management: sort out hot water in your renovated rooms so it’s consistent and dramatically improve breakfast to a level you’d eat yourself and you will make more money. Lovely staff, decrepit property.

When we checked in, we were told that there will be some water maintenance the following day for a few hours...thankfully we were out during those hours. We came back and it was black, muddy water from the sink to the toilet and the shower...it took 20 minutes to run all the water to drain the yuck from all the faucets and the toilet. That is an inconvenience for a guest to be dealing with . The breakfast brunch....for the amount of the food which is very pricey....there's not much to choose from. The body wash/shampoo was watered down

The neighborhood is quiet, perfect for rest. The hotel needs to be upgraded for a better stay. Facilities should be improved to make up for the lack of activity in the vicinity. Hotel staff were also very nice and polite. The only problem we encountered was when we walked in and asked for an available room but were told the hotel was fully booked. Prior to our arrival I checked online and found available rooms. That's why we decided to walk in. The receptionist was apologetic that the hotel was booked. So we went out and I checked again online only to find the same rooms available. I booked online, got a confirmation thru hotels.com. I even called the hotel to make sure. At the hotel, i showed the receptionist my confirmation reference. He mistook me for another guest and gave me the wrong booking form to sign. I asked why we were turned down the first time and he explained that there might be a guest who cancelled. I no longer stressed that the room i booked was available even before we walked in. All in all, the stay was okay. There's much room for improvement though.
