I was not sure how to get to the room when we got there, but that was my fault because they emailed me the day before and I did not check. But one phone call and they were there within a few minutes to let us in and make sure the room was ready for us. I found the hike up the stairs to be good after sampling all of the great Polish food and needed to work of some calories. the room was only about a 10 minute walk from the main square but was far enough away to get away from the crowds. Just across the street is the river with lots of paths and green area, and I noticed several boat restaurants. If by car the parking is on the street or they offered private parking about a block away for a small fee. We used the street parking with no issues. The room was clean and comfortable with a kitchen, counter/bar area to eat. The beds were the only issue but I having traveled around Europe find the mattress to be a little thin for my tastes but have gotten used to them. The area is very quiet and a grocery store is a block away if you decide to cook. There is cable TV and baths were very clean and modern.

Not really a hotel more of an apartment located in a residential apartment complex. Rooms located on 4th floor and there is no lift - be careful with heavy baggage. Not located in central Krakow - on opposite side of river to Wawel Castle. Close to shops and services but limited access to trams. You really needs a taxi to get around. Room is spacious, modern and quite.

Very clean and modern but definitely on the small side. Ten minute walk to the main square. Four full flights of stairs to walk to room. Full bed didn’t fit my husband and I and you roll to the middle if not sleeping alone. Definitely bring towels as the shower water sprays into bathroom floor. They only provide one towel each however if you have time you can use the washing machine and drying rack.

The apartment is located near a well stocked supermarket and only a short walk to the old town and castle. Trams and buses also run down the main roads just outside so very easy to get further afield. The river runs very close by and is very pleasant for a walk. There are a number of eating places nearby, with plenty more within the Jewish quarter and old town. Both are a 10-20 minute walk.
Downsides to the apartment are the 4th floor location (no lift) and the shower attachment (no adjustment and angled back meaning that it's easy to spray the bathroom!). Other than that we had a comfortable stay and it was very quiet at night.

The company offers a wide variety of apartments. Some have lifts, others don't. Some have washers, others don't. Mine had neither, and I had not noticed this particular one didn't have the washer I was expecting. The duvet was not large enough for the bed. The location was about 20 minute walk from the center of Old Town, but there are a bus stop and tram stop only a block away. One bus can take you to the airport for only 3 euro so don't bother with a taxi or shuttle.

Late arrival to Krakow. Quite difficult to find the hotel location. Call the company to let them send a key to get in is a must. If no cell phone, please remember to call the hotel before arrival. The TV and lighting are not work properly. General speaking, it is a home like apartment and an alternative choice in Krakow.

We went to Krakow for a long weekend, and even though that weekend the whole city seemed completely booked, we found this La Gioia Apartments place for a reasonable price in a decent location.
Unfortunately, as we pretty soon found out, the whole building seems to be completely moldy - we slept there for one night and woke up feeling really bad; went to Zakopane, felt fine; after coming back just 2 hours in the room was enough to make it hard to breathe. A nice place, but absolutely uninhabitable. When I emailed the company about us leaving early because of this I received no response whatsoever.
Now I'm not saying that all their locations are like this, but avoid the ul. Syrokomli location at all cost. Also, not impressed by the service.

This is not a hotel. This is an apartment with no support after you check in. It is a 4 story walkup with over 80 stairs. The only window is on to a balcony which you share with neighboring apartments. No privacy. The curtain broke the first time we used it and then there was precious little privacy. When people in adjoining apartment had a party, their noise easily carried to our apartment and was quite disturbing.

This is more of an apartment rented out as a hotel, but it works. It's quite modern but not brand new. No elevator makes the 4 floor trek a bit of a pain but unless you're ridiculously out of shape, that's not a real problem.

These are apartments, but very modern, very comfortable, clean and nicely located close to all major attractions and the old town square.

The appartment was in the forth floor without an elevator. There was no onsite parking available. We were lucky when we found a space for our car on the road near to the appartment. The appartment was silent and with AC. The matrasses need urgently a replacement. The kitchen equipment was sufficient.The excellent location close to the wavel and city center must be mentioned.

Expect for climbing the 6-floor stairs to reach the apartment/studio, everything else was great, especially a very polite Polish lady hostess (employee) who was waiting in front of the building for us when we got there from the airport, and also helped us with all requests. I do recommend it!! (not suitable for elderly, though).

La Gioia is a great apartment located in a very convenient spot, not too close but not too far from the heart of central Kracow. My two minor complaints would be 1) I was only provided with one bath towel for a 4 day stay. 2) The large window shade in the room should be replaced with a sun blocking opaque shade. Also, it would have been great if the tv had some cable channels so that non-Polish speaking guest would be able to watch CNN or the BBC.

This is definitely not a four star standard.
It may deserve three stars rating at best.
And here is why:
- room advertised for 4 people is more like 2 people room
- place was not as clean as four star should be
- its original décor was somewhat fatigued: broken shades, loose sink faucet, incomplete kitchen sets, defective door in refrigerator, worn out floors
- parking is offered on the street and surprise! there is no space on this street to park
- bathroom is the only sort of 4 star décor in this place but very small and open to the rest of the apartment so it is hard to find privacy
- too few towels provided in the bathroom (no additional towels provided) complicated our life even more
- apartment is on 5th floor and no elevator so be prepared for lifting your luggage all the way up
On the bright side:
- property owner is willing to help and cooperate (after all he provided substitute parking)
- location is good, walking distance to Wawel Castle and Old Town
- supermarket is nearby so you can take full advantage of kitchen
- apartment is in an old building in quiet and safe area

The pictures posted leave you with a false impression of the Studios on offer.
For single people they will be great, for a family avoid at all costs.
Allthough the owner is friendly he should target the singles or young couple who just need somewhere to lay their head. The Four flight of stairs that greet you were not the best after a day out.
It is about a 20 min walk into the square where all the resturants are.
One of the routes we took is along the river which is a nice walk.
DON'T let this put you off Krakow it is a great place to stay and the food is great.
Great deals are to be had in the centre on all the tours you wish to make.

The location of the flat is great, about 10min walk from the castle. It represents an old flat which was split into 3 studios completely furnished with Ikea goods. The owner is quite friendly and speaks perfect English. The only downside is that it's on the 4th floor and there is no lift.
