Wonderful location, run by genuinely lovely people. We took the self catering apartment option and it suited us down to the ground. Slightly remote if you are not fully mobile. We did not want to hire a car, so used taxis a lot. We were given a driver's number and received excellent service. There is a handy bus service into Funchal.

Wir hatten ein schönes gemütliches Appartement mit Garten und wunderschönem Ausblick aufs Meer. Das Frühstück war perfekt mit frischen Früchten. Die Lage war auch super. Alles perfekt - wir hatten einen traumhaften Urlaub!

Wij hebben fantastische dagen gehad. Ons appartement voldeed aan al onze wensen. Het uitzicht vanuit ons bed op de zee was geweldig. En het slaapt heerlijk met het ruizen van de golven op de achtergrond. Fijn om een bad en een douche te hebben, ook al met zo'n mooi uitzicht. Elke ochtend lagen er broodjes klaar met zelfgemaakte marmelade. mmmmmmm....

Eine gelebte Willkommenskultur. Sehr schönes stilvolles Haupthaus, toller Garten, Super Aussicht aus allen Zimmern auf das Meer und sehr nette Eigentümer. Man darf keine Angst vor Hunde und Katzen haben, sie gehören zum Haus!

We had the large studio, and we couldn't have been more happy with it. Great and friendly reception. Very nice apartment with great view. Good quality bed, nice bathroom. They grow their own salad and bananas, so you can get that if you ask for it. You can get a basic breakfast as well (5 Euro per person at the time of writing - Dec 2015). You'll need either a car or good legs to get down to Funchal from CdPV. You can follow the Levada dos Piornais (See Levada) basically to the center, and the Levada is obviously almost horisontal, but there will still be some very steep declines to go down (and up). If you arrive (and do not rent a car) they can arrange both a taxi from the air-port, and they can recommend a restaurant in the nearby village Camara de Lobos which has a free taxi service. We were actually there twice (Vila do Peixe). It really is a very nice restaurant, good food and good atmosphere and the free taxi is not reflected in the prices. Curious fact about CdPV - because of local regulations there will be no detergent or dishwashing brush available in the apartment. So you might wanna consider bringing a small sponge or like to do dishes with. Otherwise you'll need to buy it. We would love to come back.

Fijne accomodatie, prachtig uitzicht, goede service, zeer vriendelijk personeel.

Filomena vous accueille dans sa maison avec le sourire et un verre de Madère, puis vous emmène jusqu'à votre chambre. Sa maison est un petit paradis, au calme avec vue imprenable sur la mer. La chambre est très propre, douillette, avec tout ce dont on a besoin.

Nous avons profité trois jours de cet hôtel avec une vue magique sur l'océan; le service, et notamment le petit déjeuner, y est excellent ! Un accueil très chaleureux, en français, malgré notre arrivée très tardive. Les propriétaires sont heureux de nous faire partager leur maison et leur jardin (rempli de salades et arbres fruitiers, dont nous pouvons goûter les confitures chaque matin), ce qui est un vrai bonheur. Un seul regret, ne pas avoir pu dîner à l'hôtel (pensez à réserver le matin même) !

A cause de hôtel.com j’ai cru réserver un studio et au final c’était juste une chambre...il n’y avait pas de parking,on se gare dans la rue en espérant une place,le lieu est loin des commerces,il nous a fallu rajouter les petit déjeuner et pour le coup rapport qualité prix c’était plutôt cher....par contre très bon accueil.
