EVOLUTION Lisboa Hotel

From the time we arrived until we left the staff could not have been any more helpful or accommodating. The rooms were always clean and also quiet for a city hotel. The location is great, easy to get to the airport and not far from the old town and nearby access to public transport options. Pool/spa area is quite small and gets busy but facilities good. If you want to stay in a traditional hotel this might not be for you! It is ultra modern and even futuristic but we loved it.

Perfect for 3 nights in Lisbon. Nice and convenient location. Breakfast was great! Room appears smaller due to unique design of the bathroom with separate shower, toilet & vanity. Amazing exercise facilities with indoor pool, steam room etc. Exceptional staffs. Polite and helpful! Thank you!

Great location right by the subway line. Comfortable bed. Staff were nice and friendly. Good amenities including the sauna, steam room and swimming pool.

Superbe hôtel mais il faut savoir que douche et toilette sont directement face au lit. Donc idéal pour couple, moins commode avec amis, ados, etc. Même les toilettes publiques de l’hôtel ont le même design, donc l’intimité est très faible. Sinon merveilleuse location! À côté du métro.

This was a great hotel and if I'm ever visiting Portugal again I would definitely stay here. The food was decent for hotel food took while to come but still good. A lot of shopping areas within walking distance.

Great location, very clean and modern, large room. Service great. Love the auto blinds! The shower and toilet are in two vertical cylinders in the room. Not much privacy. A little odd. The door to the room was extremely difficult to open. I would definitely stay here again though!!!

Hotel in general was fine, however we got a room with dirty bed sheets that weren’t replaced it seems, there was hair all over the bed. First time in my 30 years of travelling. Checkin staff was bland like a block of ice.. we didn’t feel welcomed, rather business as usual for the staff. Architect needs to be sacked, the design of rooms is pure fetishism, the toilet seat and the shower are literally in the room with a glass pod like round door that slides to close, not suitable for kids or families.. the hotel is geared towards romantic escapades only, plus the hair in your bed if you like it. Would not recommend it.

The breakfast was great, topped up fresh regularly. The staff were all nice and the rooms spacious.

My family and I had an extremely disappointing experience at Evolution Hotel in Lisbon, and I would not recommend it to anyone.To begin with, the bathroom design is poorly executed and borderline unsafe. The shower is cramped, with almost no space to move, and the floor is uneven and excessively slippery, creating a genuine hazard. The wall-mounted holder was broken, causing toiletries to fall repeatedly, which was both frustrating and unacceptable. The glass doors for both the shower and toilet constantly shifted, adding to the discomfort. The entire bathroom layout feels impractical—separating key areas instead of creating a cohesive, functional space. While the “futuristic” design may appeal to some, it is far from comfortable and completely unsuitable for anyone with claustrophobia. Even basic features like adequate knee space in the toilet area were neglected. The elevator system was equally frustrating. The requirement to scan a card is poorly indicated, and the system itself is inefficient and confusing. A simple trip to the lobby turned into a pointless journey across multiple floors. The room door was another issue—it did not close properly without being forced. A hotel room door should function smoothly, not require effort from multiple people to shut. Additionally, the lack of proper sound insulation made it impossible to rest. Noise from the hallway and neighboring rooms was constant, making it unsuitable for light sleepers. Basic amenities, Lackin,no ice buckets.

The guest rooms, lounges, and restaurant were spotlessly clean. The staff, both reception and servers, were polite and helpful. While my family's stay in Lisbon was primarily a vacation get-away, my son did need to meet with a business client in one of the open areas on the mezzanine level. It was comfortable (nicely stocked "bar" with water, coffee and tea), bright, and private but open and a staff member walked through the area every 15 minutes or so. This was not intrusive, and was, I'm sure, intended to ensure that single business people felt safe.
