The Stay Hotel in Porto was nice, but we would have preferred being closer to the river where lots of action was. It was a straight walk into downtown however.

Nothing traffic noise was horrible I couldn't sleep never again

Overall I liked the Stay hotel, it was modern, clean and the staff were friendly. It was an excellent location for arriving from the airport to Trindade metro, albeit uphill. What I didn’t like was the bedroom lighting, so dim despite the number of bulbs. They also need to deal with the drain smell after heavy rain from the shower area. It’s not the only hotel in Europe I have experienced this, so fine during the dry summers.

The property was very conveniently located to shopping areas and public transport. I didn’t have a car at this time, but I didn’t notice multiple street parking spaces frequently open up as well as a large parking structure next door. The room was clean. I did notice that there were a few things broken such as the curtains, the toilet paper holder and paint chipping off the wall. Also, wish there was better lighting in the restroom. Otherwise it was a great day. There’s luggage storage and an elevator as well (though there’s a few steps up to get to the elevator).

Miguel at the front desk is horrible. Doesn't have any concept of customer service. Avoid this hotel at any cost BECAUSE of him.

I liked the location with close proximity to Metro Trindade I liked the shower, bed I did not rate the hotel highly on placing the guest first I arrived at 15:10 for a 16:00 reception opening. The hotel offered to let me in the room for €15. ( They did store my luggage for 50 minutes) By contrast my hotel tonight agreed to store my luggage with a 14:00 checkin. When I arrived at 10:00 at reception the lady said my room was ready- no charge. The room didn’t come with a complimentary coffee. In short no deal breakers but a very neutral average approval rating.

the staff was very helpful. Especially liked the recommendation of a local eatery for dinner just around the block.

Quality/price was OK. The room we stayed in faced the street and you could hear all the noise outside, even ok a 4th floor. From time to time we felt a terrible smell coming out of the bedroom bathroom. The room had very poor lighting and no place to keep anything, no closet or drawers. No safe box to keep our delicate belongings. The pillows were awful and only one per person. Heating was always on high and a/c never worked. We had to open permanently the window to breathe and sleep.

Its in a fair location within walking distance to key sites. Decent room size and good breakfast.

Overall it’s an OK hotel at a convenient location (near Trindade subway stop, around 5mins walk). Pros: good location, comfortable bed, staff is polite and friendly. Small elevator available. Cons: The space is pretty tight, with a bit of lacking organization, not much space to put luggages. There are a few hangers but not enough hooks to hang backpack, toiletry bag, etc. There is only 1 chair in the room so if you have two people, the other one needs to sit on the bed or not sit at all. The washroom is on the smaller end. There are no glass/ceramic cups - only a few paper cups provided. There is no tissue box (also not available upon request), only toilet paper available. Room is not very well-lit, it had a dim light over the table and 2 bed lamps in the main area, we find it kind of dark. Cleanliness was okay - though there was some orange-colored mold in the shower, and the toilet paper hanger was loose at the connection to the wall and had risk of being broken.
