Hotel International Bucharest

Hotel room and decor very dated. That said, the room was clean and tidy. Just no atmosphere. About a 20 minute walk from the old town.

AC barely worked but it’s nice for how old it is

I did not like how old the property appeared. Moreover it should be rated 3 stars. It doesn't even come close to being a 4 Star hotel, which it is listed as by Expedia

Overall the hotel was a nice place and area to stay. I recommend it for many reasons. Staff were helpful and polite. We enjoyed a clean and spacious room with a balcony during this visit. Breakfast buffet was okay and convenient each morning. This is pet friendly hotel. We brought our dogs and we were charged 20 Euros a night per dog. I understand the pet fee but a bit much to be charged for each dog.

Everything was great to be honest. We did have to ask to change the first room because of am awful smell, but once that was sorted our stay was lovely.

Firstly this is not a 4* hotel. This is probably a 2 or 3 at a push. I booked this for 7 nights through Expedia for a executive double with city view (if you’re going to book this hotel, book though them as you’re protected. First day I checked in to the hotel, thought it was weird that our room was on the 5th floor, strange for a city view. I get up to the room and the key doesn’t work for the room. Back down the lift and already 3 people waiting with the same issue. Get back up to my room again, enter and looks like something from the early 2000s, marked walls and furniture. Also this is a standard room with no bath unlike the booking suggested. Went back downstairs and the receptionist said this was a executive room. Yeah ok, thought I’d let it slide and just make the most it it. Went out through the day, came back and thought I’d see what the restaurant was like. Restaurant was open from 7-10pm. Half 8 and it was closed, In fact, this wasn’t even open the whole evening. Asked for some water and they couldn’t give me it. Used the water in the mini fridge. Day 2 key didn’t work again, mini fridge wasn’t re stocked and bar and restaurant shut again. No water supplied, already eaten out so didn’t need the food. Day 3 key didn’t work again, mini fridge wasn’t restocked, just to add, air con is also absolutely crap. Restaurant was open but not for food, got some nice wine. Day 4 we had had enough needed a bottle of water they couldn’t provide as the restaurant was closed!

Not a good hotel to stay. It’s quite far from the Center and still expensive without much on offering. Breakfast is literally nothing except few cold cuts, bread butter and juice. And on last day of our stay there was no electricity the whole day. Guy sitting reception refused to give invoice for the payment. They are just very rude.

Over all a very nice stay, breakfast buffet was not that big. But it was ok. As there was only one wall socket it was hard to get all devices charged. However when we requested an extension lead we got one, which solved the problems.

The area It was also close to the bus to the airport. was safe. It was a pleasant walk to the old Town..

The location, staff and facilities are ideal.

This hotel has an old world charm. It has modern facilities and a wonderful buffet breakfast.
