It is well-positioned within easy walking distance of places to visit. Staff are friendly and helpful. The bed is extremely comfortable and, for once, the pillows were super comfy too!

We had booked a duplex room and regretted it!
Room was disjointed with kettle and fridge in bedroom (upstairs)
Coffee wachine downstairs.
Towels on bed even though bathroom was downstairs.
Lacking in sockets near the mirror for hairdryer etc
No socket near kettle.. had to take it downstairs to plug it in! Also to fill it with water.
There was a water jug but the nearest place to fill it with drinking water was floor 6 and we were on floor 8!
Was quite dusty and the cover on the sofa wasn't the cleanest.
Had stayed at apex grassmarket before and had wee extras like pillow spray and earplugs.. not at Glasgow!
Found the room cold and industrialised.
Plus points.. free mini bar

The stay is always great here, staff are particularly lovely. The fan in the bathroom did make noise all night though. You couldn't hear it through the closed door but it seemed to be running even with the light off. Everything else was perfect.

We stayed in a 2-floor duplex
PROS:
- Views were spectacular, very cool space
- The staff was extremely friendly and attentive
- You can't beat this location, it's next to all transportation hubs and in the middle of shopping and restaurants
- Complimentary snacks and drinks in the mini fridge
CONS:
- Soundproofing between rooms was very poor. We could hear the people in the next room having low-level conversations, and romantic things. Our first night, we were watching TV around 8pm and the room next door banged on the wall. We realized the walls were very thin because it went both ways. Airline staff stays here, so we found ourselves whispering the entire stay in case they were in the next room. Not the hotel's fault, but we couldn't be ourselves on vacation.
- 8/10 clean, typical wear and tear from being used
- Area above the upstairs mirror needed lighting
OVERALL: Worth the price, but wish the soundproofing was better
