The riverside view is unbeatable! The hotel is spotlessly clean and staff are friendly and professional. Adjacent to restaurants and necessary shopping - very convenient for travellers coming by train. We felt very comfortable during our 5-night stay at the Clayton, and would certainly come again.

Central location with air conditioned, clean, quiet rooms. While we were there, we noticed continual upkeep such as paint touch ups in lobby and common areas. Walkable to shopping, restaurants, bars and convenient to bus, train and airport transportation. Staff were very helpful at front desk, bar and restaurants. Breakfast options included pouched or fried eggs, along with a variety of buffet. Hotel is ideal for both family and business. Highly recommend it.

Travellers with mobility issues, please be aware. Accessing this property can be very challenging. To reach reception, you must climb around six steps. After check-in, I was led by a young receptionist down two more sets of stairs into the bar area. Unfortunately, he made no effort to point out the lift, nor did he offer any assistance - he simply stood at the top of the stairs watching us struggle. From there, you need to make your way through the bar and navigate a maze of doors before finally reaching the guest lift. For anyone who is tired, has heavy luggage, or struggles with mobility, this setup is far from ideal. If accessibility is important to you, I would recommend considering alternative accommodation.

Your room is above a bar, but our room was quiet. We were on the top floor and the curving staircase to the top is really cool. The pub is called The Claredon and signage is missing, but when you enter the pub, they know who you are. Everyone was super friendly and helpful.

Frustrating. The layout of this building is very poor. There is no apparent handicap access to the lobby; the doorways are very small; narrow stairs; there are a LOT of small hallways and doorways between the lobby area and the rooms. After a long day of travel, it is quite difficult to find your room, and the staff is not helpful nor informative. If you are handling your own bags (and I did not see any valets) getting through the maze, hallways, and doorways is difficult. Breakfast is expensive and not worth it. The room was nice, but there is not sufficient inventory of separate beds, and we had to pay extra for a King bed for two people. I would not stay here again, it was too expensive for what it was. There are better hotels in the same area.
