Only stayed one night, but very happy with location, proximity to restaurants, rail station, centre of town. Old building with character. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were wonderful.

The room was very large and had many helpful amenities. It was very close to the Queen Street train station which was what we needed. We left too early to really utilize the breakfast. But it was close to dinner restaurants that we did use.

Over-priced, dated, worst stay ever! Would definitely not stay again and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. In the middle of a heatwave, there is no air-con, just a large, noisy fan which overtakes any conversation and unable to watch TV unless you can lip-read. You can only open the windows about 10 inches so was unable to let any airflow in to the room. One window had a coffee cup holding it open. The room was very dated with old furniture. The hallway was very squeaky, and the floorboards need replacing as they were very spongy. No fridge to keep drinks cold which you need when you’re overheating in the room. I messaged the hotel several weeks before we stayed as the other party needs an accessible shower, no reply from several messages and at check-in, was told there was only one room in the whole hotel with a walk-in shower. Not sure why there was a need to put the radiator on in the bathroom, adding to the sauna ambience. Really not impressed with this hotel considering the amount of money paid.

Central location was the best part. Bed comfortable; An old hotel that needs renovation; no air conditioning; Rooms not cleaned unless requested; twice we asked for refresh( clean towels) and nothing done. Very noisy and hard to get to sleep. Rooms to warm for sleeping. Couldn’t open windows; Poor value for the price!

For the price that we paid of £179 for bed and breakfast we felt that it was overpriced for what we received. Our room 425 could do with renovating especially the bathroom and shower. Tiles cracked along the outside of bath. We feel that the breakfast provided is very poor. We would rather a breakfast cooked to order and fresh rather than be kept warm on a buffet style table. The products are dried out and obviously heated up in the oven on trays. This cannot be a cost effective way to provide breakfast. For the price paid I was expecting more than we received from such an iconic Hotel in the Centre of Glasgow.
