The Famous Star Hotel

Hotel was absolutely spotless in every way. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Room was big with a lovely en suite. Food was lovely especially breakfast. Would 100% recommend and we will be back.

I liked the state of the hotel and the attitude of all the staff My only slight downer was using the stairway as | have a mobility problem.. Would certainly recommend any reasonably fit person to enjoy the hotel.

Over night stay with motorcycle friends. From the outside I was a bit nervous. Really needs an update. But once inside no complaints. Friendly staff good food and clean warm comfortable room

First trip to the Star and visit to Moffat! Will definitely be coming again. Nice powerful shower. Comfy bed.

Lovely little hotel, great room amazing food and friendly serivice. No parking by just round the corner from free cwrpark with ev charging.

Fanatsic team helpful staff. Food is fabulous. On our way north Moffat and in particular the Famois Star hotel is a lovely stooping off point. Service is excellent...thos is our 6th stay it just gets better and better.

Very pleasant stay in Moffat. The famous star has Very welcoming and friendly staff. My hotel room was comfortable and had plenty of space. The shower in my room took a little while to get hot, but it did warm up after a few minutes. (Although I know some other guests did have trouble getting hot water). I had dinner in the hotel which was very nice, and breakfast in the morning was plentiful, and hearty.

Fabulous breakfast, friendly staff! We had a small room but it was sufficient for a one night stay. Moffat has some great walks nearby.

Hotel was quirky and charming, room was fine and bed was comfortable enough. We weren’t able to get any hot water in the shower over the course of about 1.5 hours trying so that let down our experience a little.

Loved the town of Moffat. We were right in the center of town and walked easily to stores

Excellent and friendly service at arrival. The property was very clean and the rooms/bathroom very roomy for the narrow property. Well appointed toiletry items and coffee/snacks. Loved that parking was pretty easy and free in town (we parked right in front of the hotel). Didn't have time to have a bite or pint in the bar, but will next time!

Very enjoyable stay in a place with real character. Good location on the main square in Moffat. Helpful staff.
