Hotel Ortus Residence

Overall, this property is okay, not the 4 stars though. Our room and shower cabin were tiny even for European standards. The shower door seal was broken with a lot of water leaking on the bathroom floor even with the door shut. Hotel’s location is good, near Trieste and accessible to a freeway to the beautiful areas of Slovenia and Croatia. Breakfast was plentiful to our taste. No swimming pool. Free parking with a sufficient number of stalls. Interesting fact that the elevator is turned off between 10pm and 7am. Not a big deal if you are capable of using stairs but would be a challenge for some folks.

Nice hotel, not too far from the coast. Free, secure parking. Clean, but quite small room. Breakfast was quite good. Ate in the restaurant one evening and that was pretty good. They have a salt cave where you can just sit and breathe for 30 minutes. Really cleans out your airways. However, it’s not included, but an extra cost, which was also the case for the sauna which we did not use. To be honest, if those were included, then I would rate it as excellent, but the fact you have to pay for the facilities, when in most hotels that is included, is a bit of a let down. The staff were very nice and helpful. There was no kettle I the room, but they hunted one down for us upon request. The coast is beautiful if you can drive around to nearby Piran, moon and half moon bay. If you don’t have a car there is a local bus which I believe is free to use, but judging by the timetable not that often. If you stay local the water is clean enough to swim in and the concrete boardwalk and occasional wooden jetties are fine for sunbathing and taking the occasional dip. Overall, nice calm place to visit & stay

Lovely hotel, really friendly, helpful and attentive staff. They are a credit to the hotel. Fantastic location a very short walk from a beach with beach bar that's chilled out and not too busy. Comfortable rooms and lovely hotel and terrace for dinner and drinks. Breakfast was good too. Free parking. Would recommend a stay here

Very good one night stopover. The included breakfast was excellent- including individually produced omelets, sausages etc. lots of fresh fruits.

We visited from Tulum Mexico with a 4 year old and everything was perfect. Room was excellent with a large king size bed, sofa bed and balcony. The breakfast was superb! Staff was very helpful. Fantastic location. Headed back soon!

Everything in this hotel feels new and clean. The breakfast is great. The staff is friendly. The area is quiet and green and just a 20 minute drive from touristy sites. Highly recommended.

All in one it was a nice stay. The street is rel. close so traffic noise is present. I missed view on the sea or lake that was in description of the room. A pool would be nice since the hotel is not directly at the coast. But it was not in the offer in the first place. The personal was very friendly and proffessional. Variety of food was served at breakfast, however dinner offer was just 2 choices, no soup or salad.

Schönes Hotel mit modernen Zimmern, ausreichend kostenlose Parkplätze, sehr nettes Personal (nicht alles Profis). Es fehlt Wärme und Atmosphäre im Hotel, besonders im „Speisesaal“. Frühstück in Ordnung, aber nicht toll.

Petit Hôtel très agréable dans les pins, proche des plages, découvert par hasard pour une étape et séjour prolongé 1 semaine. Base idéale pour découverte de la côte Slovène, et Trieste.
