Henn na Hotel Seoul Myeongdong

A truly cool hotel that offers a unique experience from start to finish. The location is fantastic, with plenty to see and do right in the area…perfect for exploring.

1) Sound insulation is great. Very quiet even when next to the elevator 2) Hotel staff is friendly, accommodating and professional 3) Rooms are cleaned and daily cleaning service is great 4) It is so near the Myeongdong shopping area and the train station, as well as the airport bus terminal (great location to be in)

The location and soundproofing was good. There were some slight issues with cleanliness as we found old contact lenses on the carpet which was a bit gross. Also we did try to get extra pillows but was told there were none available as the hotel was full.

The hotel is perfectly located close to tourist attractions and the reception area is unique with robots and dinasours. Free wifi and daily water is great.

My grandson loved the robot and dinosaurs….

Henna Hotel is well located for firet time tourist! Myeongdong can be crowded and lively at night but Henna is located on the far end of the area so its quiet at night

Although Myeongdong is quite a busy area, there was no noise coming into the room, so sleeping was quite good. The hotel has a minimum staff on site and the check-in and -out are made via some machines, which couldn’t read my (German) passport. Anyway, friendly personnel were available on request to help with that. Breakfast was booked altogether and was ok, heavily directed to the asian taste. It’s definitely a very good option for those who plan to spend a long time in the shopping area around, but also for those who look for a good base for visiting Seoul via public transportation, as it is located less than 5 minutes from the metro station, and with several bus lines stopping close by.

We enjoyed our stay here very much - it is nothing special, however the location of the hotel is very convenient to explore Seoul. The rooms are quite small, however we loved that they had a window you could open for fresh air, and it was quiet at night.

Clean but small room. Check in with Expedia required a person working at the hotel to give us the booking number.

There is no staff. Only robots checking you in and out. If you need something for your room, a robot will bring it.

We adored the lobby with the robots and dinosaurs. Also, when we ordered another towel to our room and the robot delivered it my 10 year old son was very impressed! The beds were comfortable by American standards which is hard to find in Korea! The location was perfect for Myeongdong shopping and exploring, only 2 blocks from the Main Street of shopping. The only bad things I have to say is that check in was stressful as it is all done through a kiosk and since I booked with a third party it was not finding my reservation. You can call a human staff to help though if you have trouble. The only other complaint I have is that the hotel did not have an extra supply of pillows and there was only one on each bed. Again, the bed was comfortable though so we both slept great!

Location is good, the only comment is the room quite small, not enough for 3 big luggages if i book a room for 3 pax.

Very close to the shopping streets of myeongdong. It is mostly automated so it is a unique experience to interact with the service robot who will bring items to your room upon request.

- 5 minutes walk to the Subway - Night life of Myeongdong within a minute walk - Convience Store across the Hotel - Only issue had was checking in using expedia so the person had to come out and use the expedia email details and booking number which isn't available anywhere on expedia

Check in was complicated as there are 2 robots at reception (and no staff) and neither robot would accept our hotels.com booking number. We had to call someone to assist us (who was not happy at all). Room was ok. Only one pillow each and it was very thin (I had to put a folded towel underneath for some support). Stayed in winter and the room was very hot as the AC temp cannot be turned down. Thankfully we were able to turn the AC off and open a window. Could not temporarily store our luggage when checking out so we had to go to the airport early. I will stay in a different hotel in Seoul next time.
