Seoul Rex Hotel

Bidet was broken, saw on other reviews, they reported but didn’t get fixed, so I just gave up moved next day to another hotel, shower splash water horizontal instead of downpour so u have to hold the head all the time like plumber made a joke, will not recommend though used to be my stay in Korea for past 15 yrs but sadly no more

Nothing unique.

although the location was good, the room was tiny and not very clean. has a gross musky smell (like drain water smell) in the toilet, bed was slanting down on 1 side, room lightings super dim. hotel bf was terrible. only 1 standard bf style. front desk staff was unfriendly; we asked for ONE extra pillow and they just curtly said “NO!” that’s it. overall, please don’t waste money on this hotel. there are a lot of other hotels around myeongdong area. it was a VERY uncomfortable and unpleasant stay. i hope hotel rex will do something about it.

Room is not very clean and aircon is not really working well. Lights are dim. Location is quite good as its near to a subway station (Hoeyeon)

The room is very small & dim. Located near to mrt. A lot of eatery nearby. They will asked for all the particulars of people staying in the room. Local home address & hp no. Only one key provided.

The location is good. It convenience to night market, restaurants, Lotte Depart Store and Myeongdong market. We were very disappointed of room cleanliness and services. It wasn't just old room (we won't mind that a bit) but it was bathroom mold, little flies and uncomfortable bed that made everything worst. We were trying to look over all of those issues since we don't want it to ruin our vacation. There was only 1 pillows for each guests provided so we asked at the front desk if we can have 1 extra pillow for 2 of us but the answer was "No". That was surprising to me since now a day all hotel provided 2 pillows for each guest. After one of us said that our back was hurting they reluctantly gave us 1 pillow. It was hot while we were there and the air-conditioning wasn't work properly. The room was hot and we can't even adjust our room temperature. There was no amenity that benefit us other than Wifi in this hotel. Overall it wasn't a comfortable stay and the hotel staff wasn't try to make anything better even if it just a simple requested like pillows. If we wasn't already paid for the rest of our trip I would have move to another hotel.

Toilet bowl is very friendly user.. Electricity... bedroom is very condusive..

This is my second time stay in Rex 5 mins walk to subway . Close shopping area . Very convienent .

The hotel is located near Myeong-Dong so it is a good hotel for people doing shopping. The staff can speak Korean, Japanese, Mandarin and English so they can answer questions professionally with good attitude. However, the hotel is old the facilities do need to be improved, especially the lighting in the room and the corridor.

Overall we had a great stay. One previous comment says that the hotel seems old’ish but very well taken care of and I 100% agree. The staff was very friendly, especially the breakfast servers. Comfort wise it had all we need and had great sleep. Location is a big plus for this hotel, just minutes from shopping and night food markets. It took us no longer than 1:30 Lgb from ICN to the hotel via express train and then switching to the #4 subway fornone quick additional stop. So many things are accessible by foot if you enjoy exploring things that way.. will definitely consider it again for our next trip to Seoul, whenever that may be.

It was a good stay where even though the room is dated but it's in very good condition and the hotel certainly is proud of them. Location is good to walk to Namdaemun and about 10 min walk to Myeongdong shopping district. Subway is only 5 min walk away. Lots of local food around.

Hotel location was convenient for shopping and going around

I stayed at this hotel 3 times. The location is good being near the open-air market and a few steps away from the subway. Also, walking distance from Seoul train station. It is an old hotel but the price is good and rooms are clean. Will stay there again.

AC did not work. Informed staff about it, but was still not fixed

Some buttons are broken. Room quite spacious. Furnitures are old. Good location. Near subway station.

Hotel room is nice and clean. You get everyday clean towels even if you dont let you put the sign do not disturb (they put the clean towels in a bag in front of your door). No safe deposit box in room, but at reception desk. Tv, Refrigerator, watercooker in room Across the street little 24/7 shop. Within 10 min walking distance of Seoul station and near Namdeamun market and Meyongdong shopping area.

ASSIGND ROOM WAS SMALL AND SMELLY SO THEY UPGRADE US AT NO XTRA COST BUT THE HOTEL AIR CONDITIONING UNIT WAS BROKEN.

Hotel was very old, bed was slanted to 1 side. The carpet was constantly wet at some areas.

The front desk are easy to talk to. The hotel's location is convenient.

near to the station and no worries of food. Highly recommend the "Man Bok eatery " near the hotel. Manned by an elderly couple, a minute walk up the slope. The fried pork is delicious! went there nearly everyday for my dinner! :)
