Hotel España

Decent, basic, and clean. Not luxurious, and an older property, but well-kept and in good shape. We had a great view of the wall and cathedral tower from our room. Run by a pleasant couple. We'd stay again.

The place was easy for the satnav to find. It's located immediately outside the walled city, within easy walking distance. The breakfast was good for the price of €4 pp. The only problem was no parking, though it took me only a few minutes to find off-road closeby.

Good one night stop at Lugo. Our room is opposite the Lugo wall which was amazing! The hosts are friendly and accommodating. The noise from the street can be heard in our room.

The place is very well located, just a few steps from the Cathedral. The staff is courteous and please to help me, even providing helpful information about businesses and places in Leon! It

Great spacious and clean room in excellent location.

Convenient location, but I wouldn’t recommend nor would I stay again. Breakfast is a complete joke so don’t pay extra for it (skip it and go elsewhere). Also our view was of another building/windows just a few feet away (no view of the wall).

Hotel España is a very good hotel in Lugo. No frills, but price and location are unbeatable and it was clean and quiet. Room and bathroom were spartan but big and more than adequate. The Lugo wall is right out your window. Staff was friendly. Common areas were OK. Recommended for a short stay.

I loved this hotel. It os quiet, couldn't possibly be better located in all of Lugo, and was clean and friendly. It is a no frills, cheap place, but I have n complaints at all. One note to be cautious of however, they front desk closes at midnight so you have to get back before then. I suppose arrangements can be made for a later arrival.

Lo positivo: Un hostalito muy apañado, calentito y limpio para descansar tras visitar la ciudad. El personal es muy amable, el ambiente en el saloncito es tranquilo. La habitación está bien, lo suficientemente grande para moverte sin demasiados obstáculos, el baño completo con mini bañera y bidet. Colchón cómodo. Se podía aparcar en la calle sin pagar a unos 400-500 metros. Lo mejorable: Es un piso antiguo. La decoración quedó anclada en los 80 (teniendo en cuenta un enfoque más orientado hacia el cliente, es mejorable). Típico piso familiar, algo ecléctico en su decoración, con azulejos florales en el baño, lámparas de tulipa de cristal, estampados variados, e interruptores con su fusible al lado. Se echan de menos más enchufes. A las almohadas les toca cambio. Lo negativo: escaleras nada más entrar, no es apto para personas con algún problema de movilidad, o maletas pesadas. La insonorización (esto suele ser el talón de Aquiles de este tipo de establecimientos): le escuchas las tripas al vecino cuando tiene hambre, y aunque tenga dos pares de ventanas (que no ventanas de cristal doble), al estar en una avenida de bastante tráfico, se escucha todo el trasiego.

Todo ha sido perfecto. Trato familiar y comodidad.

Ya conocía este hotel y por eso he repetido. Sobran las palabras. Todo fenomenal

Mi habitación tenía mobiliario antiguo y el baño igual, aunque pude ver alguna otra habitación y estaban remodeladas, la ubicación es estupenda y pegado a la muralla.
