An excellent hotel with a bright and a fresh decor. The staff are helpful particularly in helping with parking our car ..which can be a problem in the area where the hotel is located. It’s location with regards to the beach, dining and sightseeing is perfect.

Perfect location, great place, and wonderful staff. Arancha was a delight and helped us with everything we needed. It was ideal for us and our pets, the little park around the corner was great for taking them on walks and grabbing coffee. I would recommend bringing a small fan or two, the rooms don't have AC and it can get a little muggy with the humidity.

There was no air conditioner at this hotel - which I missed when making the booking but the staff were able to find me a fan to cool the room down. I could smell that there had been pets in the room before me - which was a little unpleasant but not unbearable.
On Expedia the property lists as having laundry facilities but when I asked to use them I was advised that this wasn’t the case so perhaps it needs to be updated to reflect accurate amenities . A good location only one block from the beach in a quieter part of town

Nice little hotel close to the beach, with several restaurants and bars nearby. The room was small but it was nice and clean. However, it was a bit cold despite the heaters, and the Spanish shutters (persianas) were broken so I had to manually pull it down but because I'm short it was kind of difficult.

Room was very warm due to no air con, there was a fan but it was too noisy to sleep with it on. We opened the window but had to close it as I let in mosquitos, we spent another hour looking around the room to kill them so we didn't get bitten during the night.

Hotel is situated roughly in the middle of San Lorenzo bay and one road back from the beach so is ideally located. We took the buffet breakfast option and were glad we did. Good coffee, fresh orange juice and plenty of choices of rolls, fillings, pastrys and fresh fruit. Staff speak limited English but that is usual for the area but they are very friendly and helpful. Free WiFi as well. They must know about the weather as when we arrived in our room there was a small pack of sun screen and after sun plus an umberella. Yes the weather can be changeable. The hotel is on a one way street with a bus stop outside so there is some noise at times. No air conditioning that we could find so windows open is the only option. Staff are quick to make up your room. Reception open all night.

Exactly what one would expect from a budget hotel: No frills, clean, comfortable, large rooms, clean baths, basic toileteries. The hotel is 40 yards from the main beachfront promenade and close to all of Gijon's downtown attractions.
Staff very polite and friendly. Cafeteria for breakfast is brand new but if one prefers alternatives, there are many around.
No parking but can find nearby underground parkades (expensive) or park 5 minutes away in the street for free.
When next in Gijon I will stay exactly in this place again.

I found the staff extremely helpful despite the lack of English and my limited Spanish. The hotel was excellent value for money. Breakfast was not included but available at very reasonable price in the attached bar. Parking was an issue but there is a nearby commercial car park with plenty of room.
A short walk to the beach, shopping, bars and the old town.
I had a most enjoyable stay and intend to return again one day. The barmaid/waitress did not care for the Vegemite my partner took with her. :-)
