Pensión El Carloto

This was a convenient functional stop for a Bilbao ferry the next morning. (Approx 2hrs) The guesthouse adjacent to the bar/cafe was warm and clean, well kept no-frills accommodation and served the purpose. There’s an ample parking area next to the bar & guesthouse when you turn off the main road, although it is not private. A first floor seating area in the guesthouse with a tv / pellet heater gives nice views over the lake but as weather was lovely we just sat outside the bar to see the sunset. The bar food offering comprises meat / cheese platters and some other tapas (anchovies, asparagus , mussels were also listed) and is available until 10pm but for a full meal there are some other restaurants around the lakeside area. Breakfast drinks/ pastries were available in the bar as we departed but we didn’t have time to try it.

There's an amazing view from the room and from the shared sun room, which was well heated for our Feb visit. It's very good value as well. Minor quibble is the service - key just handed to me wordlessly, and on leaving I just left the key on bar when I couldn't attract any attention. Also bear in mind that there's no breakfast and the evening food is cold meats / cheese & bread. May be different in season.

Amazing room overlooking the lake. Fantastic location all the staff were really friendly and helpful.

Lovely hotel. Our room had a little balcony with a great view over the water. Nice foyer sitting area with a pellet burning stove. There is an attached traditional bar and restaurant serving good cold dishes, but no hot meals. Excellent selection of cured meats and cheeses and their own label wine. Very good value.

Very easy to find. Would have been picturesque had we not arrived on a cool dank evening. Nowhere to have an evening meal, just cold cheese and meat platter in the bar. No English spoken. Excellent delicatessen. Pleasant room with Juliet balcony overlooking the lake. A Red Kite flew close by.

Nice big room with en suite bathroom, double doors opening out onto a small balcony. Right next to the reservoir and 3 restaurants to choose from in the same road, all within walking distance. Nice overnight stay on the way to Santander.

The room and hotel area were great but the only choice of food in the attached cafe / bar was a ham, chorizo and cheese selection platter - which doesn't count as having a restaurant. It was a nice platter but a choice of meal would have been good and vegetarians / vegans would have had to go hungry.

Beautiful view across the lake from our room. Exceptional value for money. Only downside no one speaks English so learn some Spanish.

La struttura è valida. Il Wi Fi è assente, il telefono ha poca connessione. C'era la festa di paese e la strada per raggiungere la nostra struttura era chiusa, nessuno ci ha informato di ciò, ci hanno aiutato dei passanti e ci hanno accompagnato in una loro altra struttura. UDopo fatto il check in il personale della struttura non raggiungibile ci cercava ignorando che fossimo in un' altra stanza. È stato difficile comunicare con le due strutture pee la mancanza di segnale telefonico. Disorganizzati.

Ubicación excepcional, ofrece comida tipica del lugar con vistas inmejorables del embalse y además muy tranquilo. Para repetir, sin duda.

Todo bien en general, un se oyen bastante los ruidos de los vecinos.

Lugar con habitaciones sencillas pero limpias situado junto al embalse del Ebro. El personal muy amable, nos dejamos una bolsa y nos la enviaron rápidamente. Gracias

Hola, cuando voy a pernoctar en cualquier establecimiento suelo mirar las reseñas de viajeros anteriores, en este caso lo ponían como muy bueno y después de probar debo decir que es cierto, un lugar bonito para pasar una o dos noches dependiendo de los lugares que quieras visitar de los alrededores, muy limpio todo y con un bar de la misma pensión mas que aceptable

La limpieza

Las instalaciones se corresponden con el entorno natural y geográfico de la zona. Es de agradecer y de recordar la atención tan buena como hospitalaria de todo el equipo de profesionales que hacen posible y positiva esta realidad. Espero que todas estas prestaciones sean el recurso y aamedio de una experiencia y garantía de identidad.

Hemos estado muy bien i cmido bien i bien atendidos

La habitación preciosa , con lo necesario , y el baño también muy bien , todo muy limpio , las vistas al embalse preciosas , y el personal que nos atendió fantástico , es una auténtica maravilla despertar con el sonido de los pájaros y alguna gallina , sin duda repetiría , a mi pareja también le ha encantado.
